jayc-glanza17
Took sump off today, needs resealing.I found these however.. Pics belowI have checked the conrod for play..Their is none front to back, and only a milimetre side to side if that.So pretty much as engine was 5 years ago.Engine didn't knock when ran for 10 minute plus on Friday at my tuners whilst sorting out a sensor problem on ecu. jayc-glanza17
I'm racking my brains trying to remember, the parts it could be.It appears so far everything's fine.As ran for 15 min plus Friday and no knocking noises..
Rob H@RCH Engineering
That looks like it could be a thrust washer from the turbo, as it seems to be a machined part. I'm Only looking at it on my phone tho
jayc-glanza17
My old td05 was bad wen we took it off..So very possible rob.
Rob H@RCH Engineering
Broken up that small it would easily get down the oil return pipe into the sump, so thats what I would say it was then. There's nothing els in the engine that small it could be really.
jayc-glanza17
Thank you rob..Been researching and looks like a washer ihi use..It's so small can't think of it being engine part.
Liam_D
Was going to say it looked like a thrust washer from inside a turbo.
