Charlie28
Taken injectors out and the bottoms are dry. So there not firing. Any idea's?
satyrs
Keep injectors on fuel rail and turn the car over. While fuelrail is off the car. Watch if you see the spray off the injectors. If fuel and ignition works. Check compressions.
Charlie28
There's no spray at all

Charlie28
Already check buddy, cleaned them all up and still no luck
Charlie28
Injectors are getting no pulse. What would cause this? I not long ago started another engine I had in the car briefly so I know injectors are not faulty nor is the ECU
Glanza-Ben
do the ecu blink test to see if theres any faults in it
satyrs
before spending loads of money chaning parts on gues. bring it to a garage and ask if the have a scope meter. test the signal that goes to the injectors. the will be switched to earth to open and the signal will look like the followingif there is no signal to the injectors check the resistance in the wires. so unlug from injector and ecu and measure. if the wires are oke your ecu is probblably toast. good luck man. cheers, Wouter
Charlie28
I just can see it being anything major, everything worked fine a few months ago. Must be an electrical fault but unsure what's causing it
maddox710
The loom of the injectors earthed well Charlie? Mine didn't fire when with the bad earth that had think I used alternator bracket as ground point

Mine didn't fire when with the bad earth that had think I used alternator bracket as ground point It earths to the inlet though right? I cleaned up all the earth points but still no luck. Just don't understand why it was fine when i fitted the knackered forged engine and know its being funny!
maddox710
Of the top of my head I can't remember without looks I've got mine on the alternator bracket that's all I remember
Charlie28
This is where it earths on the inlet off the injector loom. http://postimg.org/image/5agfe65nr/ Maybe i'll try move it to the alternator bracket. Edited April 20, 2015 by Charlie28

Charlie28
I'll swap earth position this evening. But its earthed exactly the same as when the old engine was fitted. Even if the timing was out, it wouldn't stop the injectors from firing would it?
maddox710
No your right, the next port of call I would do is check all plugs related to the injectors and follow it back to ecu make sure there are no breaks in the wiring somewhere. Even the fuses
funny onion
I would also be tracing the injector loom back to the ECU. It's easy to tug on a wire a little bit too hard when removing/fitting engines i suppose. check the fuses and plugs. I hate frustrating problems like this

I'll trace everything back next weekend and fingers crossed find the problem!
Charlie28
Checked the engine was earth correctly with a multimeter and it's fine. So that rules out a bad earth
