Been looking at Starlets for ages and always wanted an 82 since before i could drive but neverthought i would actually ever have one!Im new to Starlets and Jap cars in General as ive been stuck on the french side for a few years having owneda few Saxo's and most recently a Clio 197! basically was just browsing ebay having a look at cars with no real intention of buying anything when i spotted a veryclean silver EP82 for sale!, had a quick check to see if i could insure it and i could so i thought i would message the owner to get a bit more information...... before i know it ive booked my train to go take a look at it (it was near manchester and i stay in Edinburgh) took it for a test drive and fell in love! that was less than 4 weeks ago now! loved every minute so far!! a few pics from when i got it home (came on some terrible alloys and a japspeed exhaust)not the best quality of photos unfortunately! took it to Crail Raceway 2 days later and ran a respectable 15.8, i ran a 15.9 in my 197 with breathing mods. ordered the ID Workz ignition kit and fitted that on my day off along with a random cone filter i found in my wardrobe haha Tucked up in my brothers garage! next up was a simple rear de-wiper job! i then ordered a set of 35mm Apex springs, and also noticed a seller on here selling a set of 14" Advan Rgs so snapped them up! and a few pics of them fitted.... needs to come down another 10/15mm but that can wait, ive done a few other wee things lke removed unneededbrackets and the spare wheel! going to change the oil and filters this weekend just for piece of mind so i know its all fresh! plans for the next few months are:-Fmic or Rx7 Tmic-Decat-Manifold-Adjustable Actuator-Remove aircon-Half Rad-a half decent brake setup hopefully that will get my 1/4 mile time to under 15.5 Edited April 23, 2015 by Cattanach Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Just buying a few bits and pieces from members on here!Boost GuagePoly Engine mountManifoldDecatNon air con beltGot bored so fitted some purple hoses! Even though some will be removed when a fmic is fitted!Hopefully get the air con out once I'm back from my holiday!Need to order the gaskets for the manifold etc from ID Workz aswell!In the meantime I'm on the lookout for an FMIC or an rx7 tmic and a PnP Ecu!Also does anyone know the size of the hose that goes from the top of the rad to the header tank ? Want it looking a bit less in your face! The yellow film was on when I bought it so I'm unsure how it looks without hahaAlso need to get my arse in gear and do the following-Fit manifold-Fit Decat-Set boost to 1 bar with Hks actuator-Remove aircon (hoping an experienced member in the area may help with this)-Get a spare rocker cover and powdercoat it black Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Cattanach Posted August 2, 2015 Author Share Posted August 2, 2015 Been busy with the car lately!Although haven't gotten any pics.Managed to remove the aircon, fit the manifold and decat and Hks Actuator with the help of a mate!I then ordered up the bits to make my own filter relocation kit! Only cost £25.Also removed the yellow headlight film.Will get some pics up soonish.Currently on the hunt for coilovers and a front mount so if you've got those then let me know! How does it do compared to stock with the mines ecu and rx7 topmount?I ran a 15.8 at crail when it was standard with just the catback exhaust, then I fitted the mines Ecu and it ran a 15.4 could've been a 15.3 with a slightly better launch I think!Need to see what time it makes now with the decat and rx7 top mount etc! Cattanach Posted August 3, 2015 Author Share Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) That on stock boost?Yeah stock boost mate!Few pics from Scottish car show, was on a mates stand called "OEM+"Few pre SCS cleaning pics....Got a bit busy earlier and removed the charcoal canister and A/C idler stuff!Engine bay isn't the prettiest but it's functional for now! Will look a lot better once I fit the silver rocker cover and some black silicone hoses to replace the random blue ones hahaI just looped these together for the charcoal canister, should be fine right ?And all the crap removed.... Still lots of work to get it how I want it How much difference did the rx7 cooler make dude?I personally think it made quite a big difference! A lot better than the standard one! Cattanach Posted October 25, 2015 Author Share Posted October 25, 2015 So sacked off the td04 stuff after seeing whitenoize from here was selling a ct12 so bought that from him!Will be a while until it's on though as want to get a Zisco Ramhorn manifold to go with it!Also splashed out on some new D2 coilovers!Got a mate to fit them yesterday along with a new Aux belt as the old one was squeeling!Will get a few pics up as its now around 20mm lower at the back and around another 10mm at the front compared to apex 35mm springs.Feels more planted going into corners although they are very stiff so feel every little hole in the road!!!Tracking is miles out aswell so will get that sorted in the next week or so. Nice 1 finger arch gap though.Also fitted my painted rocker cover! Makes a huge difference in how much more clean the bay looks (although do wish I went for white instead to match the wheels)Got a few bits coming in the hope that I have it looking how I want in time for Japfest! Clean underneath but paintwork isn't the best haha!My Ct9 had decided to shit it's oil seals so been ordering all the bits to get the ct12 on! Hopefully weather stays dry tomorrow and Monday so I can get everything off and swapped over!Been umming and arring over wether to keep the 14" Advans on and drop the car another 5/10mm or get some 15s!, been looking at e30 bbs's/enkei rpf1s and rota track Rs but can't decide hahaI'm pretty picky when it comes to wheels! Prefer OEM or track style ones no fancy dishes!!Wee Photoshop with black quads to see how it would look!And a pic with my brother Pulsar Gtir!
