Cattanach
Seeing yours on the white gt3s has made me want a set!
dan106
Turbo timer fitted properlyAlarms been playing up since plugging it in, kept not unlocking no sounds then wouldn't lock, found a load of theseReally badly soldered wires that have all broken apart, wiring for the alarm is such a mess, like 20 feet of unnecessary wiring stuffed under the dash!Even had the misses helping out...So now they're both sorted, it's time for the boring stuff, started collecting the bits for a good service, albeit I have bought some dress up bits for the engine bay.Looks sick where it is mate!Jack Yeah it was alright but it was held up with a cable toe around the cowling, it had to be moved! Seeing yours on the white gt3s has made me want a set!I really wish I had a full set of them as they do look real nice on it, I will be buying new wheels after I've done the service and got a new manifold, but they won't be Rotas! dan106
Gave it a good clean and a quick wax yesterday, also me and a mate made a bracket for the rear plate so now it sits tilted and isn't just a rattling around in the bumper with a bit of double sided tape on it aha! dan106
So I got the service done Friday/Saturday, oil and filter went lovely, plugs turned in to a pain when the ht leads fell apart, but I found the cause of the random smokingManaged to bodge the ht lead back together, ordered some magnecores, and I'll be ordering the gasket set for rocker cover, and the stud to replace the snapped one in the picture above. And I'll be needing a whole new line to the fuel filter, because whoever last changed it rounded the fuck out of it!Still need to do the thermostat when I get round to it Love this thing me!Cheers man! I'm just looking forward to have sorted the issues so I can buy nice things again aha Edited October 5, 2015 by dan106
dan106
Another small update Got my Magnacore leads today, managed to sneak my car into the workshop so i could change them without getting wet Not a fan of the blue but i reckon red wouldve looked more out of place Also got my battery clamp made smaller and fitted that today And dug my old ghetto panhard rod out of my mates garage and got that un seized while i was at work today Still need to clean all that up and get it fitted! dan106
Its depressing how skint i am currently, hopefully some big updates after christmas. Well finished work early today so I painted my strut brace while i did a few bits off my misses' saxo, and sharpied the '16 valve efi' bit so it actually looks like it says that again aha Also got these for £25 for the pair Gave them a quick refurb, think they actually dont look too bad for steels sadly the tyres a 195/50 though Which is fine because i won these on ebay for £25! Couldnt help colouring in the writing while i was waiting for paint to dry. Now ive got a full set of wheels spare ill be taking the slips off and giving them a real anal clean, at somepoint, maybe. Also, what tyres out of s drives proxes and maxxis maz (i cant remember what they are) are best in the winter months? Edited October 8, 2015 by dan106
dan106
So ive been getting a strange knock/tap on the bulkhead recently, got underneath thursday to try and locate it, didnt find it, but, alarmingly i found this instead! So a quick phone call and £90 later i had some HEL braided ones delivered from id workz And while I had the day off work on friday i relocated my air filter, although ordered the wrong hose so i couldnt fit my blitz one, had to swallow my pride and buy a hafords one for now ahaha Looks better in the bay without all the pipes! Also took the headlight tint off And i fitted my HID's but you all know what they look like, new manifold and a front mount next!
dan106
So I've took the slips off to sell, so I've put the gt3s and the steels onDidn't think they'd look this badSo I whipped em off this morning to quickly paint them blackAnd that didn't go so well ahaAlmost the whole wheel reacted, so I chucked em back on and jet washed what I could off, might have another go tomorrow, or just slap hammerite on them ahaOrdered something shiny for it, will update when it arrives Edited October 31, 2015 by dan106
