5e colin Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 My mechanic wondering is ther a guide to replace them ? dont think he is a real mechanic Quote
Calum122 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Lol Colin, I hear it's pretty common practice really. It's just not economical to take the head off all the time. Especially when you're busy. Worse case scenario, you drop the valve and you have to take the head off, which you needed to do anyway. Quote
_shaun_ Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Aye if he can't work it out he's not much of a mechanic. Either use compressored air down the bores or string and rotate the engine to top dead center to compress. Then change as you would with the head off. There's a smart tool from blue point that removes and refits the collets with the hit of a hammer Quote
matthew ep91 Posted June 5, 2015 Author Posted June 5, 2015 Hes has never done it with the head on before.and was just wondering. He has a fair idea. And he has been a mechanic for over 35 years Quote
