Devs313 Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I thought maybe somewhere in the USA, but is there any point once you add shipping and duty fees? Quote
Glanza Mac Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Go to tuning developments, not the cheapest but trusted and genuine parts Rob. Quote

Devs313 Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Cheers bud. Messages the seller and he said it comes with an 8psi spring and is genuine. Fellas, does this one look real or fake? How can i tell? Edited July 1, 2015 by Devs313 Quote
Glanza Mac Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Yeah looks genuine but for £40-50 more you can be sure it's real and buy new from a recommended sellerRob. Quote
Devs313 Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 True Rob.Came across this one. Seller has 100% positive feedback too.http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/181787790382?nav=SEARCH Quote
Ollieh17 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Seems too cheap mate, alot of fake turbosmarts kicking around... Quote
Glanza Mac Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Anything that makes your car run as it should, shouldn't be gambled with in my eyes, I buy lots of second hand parts but if I'm unsure, I won't buy it :-) Rob. Quote
Devs313 Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Points taken on board chaps. I'll hang fire until a used one crops up, or see how my funds are at the end of the month to get a new one from TD. Would lapping the one I have now make any difference? Quote
jamesglanza Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Had the same problem as Ollieh17 just received a genuine turbosmart from Aus with pec Australia for under £190 delivered, Brendan from pec kept in contact every step of the way. After going through all the hassle with fakes my advice would be do your research and if it seams to good to be true then it probably is. Quote
Devs313 Posted July 2, 2015 Author Posted July 2, 2015 Where did you get the fake one from ollie? James, why did you get one from australia for 190 if td sell them for 199? Quote
jamesglanza Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I bought it along side a few other bits and saved the most money that way. Quote
Ollieh17 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Was kind of second hand but jdm ep. I looked elsewhere before and asked turbosmart to verify the seller, they are happy to do that. Just trusted the second hand one Quote
Matt1878 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Imo.. Buy genuine and buy TialBuy cheap, buy twice Quote
Ollieh17 Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Buy new indeed but dont rule out turbosmart, alot of tests they come out well above tial for leakage etc. some information on it over driftworks Quote
jamesglanza Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Used both and really like the build quality of the turbosmart units, but both hold boost great and never let me down. Quote
RobSR Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Turbo Dynamics are very well priced for new Tial's, or Owen Developments. Quote
