You do make a good point, because the noise calms down when the engine is warmed up. So I guess then, next thing is to go ahead with management.

Yep so I've realized. Now though, my engine bearing spun, so it is back to the garage. I'm really hoping that it is only the bearing that's messed up.

Well turned out that it was the bearing, with a damaged crankshaft and one damaged Rod....joy of joys right...anyhow tried again with the clearances n this bloody noise will not go. I know it doesn't affect performance but I don't like noises in my cars.

Hi guys.

My engine starts ticking not on idle but when I start driving it and I press the throttle. It does it for a few hundred meters (around a minute) and then it stops doing it. If I give more gas the engine is not running properly. As soon as the ticking fades everything turns to normal. It does it when I fire it in the morning and it’s still does it when the engine is warm. At first I thought it was the oil missing on top of the engine for the valves hydraulic but I am not sure and I would like someone to help me find out. Thanks.

Does sound very interesting this. How does your oil look is there any metallic tiny flakes in it, does it smell of fuel?.

Have you tried unplugging this idle control valve to see if it is that?

Are there any fault codes in the memory?.
