turbo-fever
Well seems the car didn't come back unscathed from the ring !Got a little white smoke coming from the exhaust but we couldn't get a decent reading from sniffer test, so could be head gasket but Won't know 100% till it's looked at.Whilst it's off I will be going civic rad for a second time round. The turbo, mani and downpipe sit so close to rad I think that's why it got it so hot and the fan couldn't cool it down because the heat coming from turbo etc Should be getting whole new downpipe made complete 2.5 all the way, triple core civic rad and should have a dyno figure to see what she is actually running. richardc9052
Not too bad, could have been worse. Especially seeing as that was basically the cars first proper test since you sorted all the other bits. You will get there in the end
turbo-fever
Pretty much it's been driven hard on the road but the ring is the ultimate test. Found the weak point so can now work on it.https://youtu.be/h2Ri3OsR8scAlso found this doesn't actually look that impressive but I topped out and had to let my mate passed to carry on ! turbo-fever
Well cars come back seems like the problem was the whole combination of turbo mani and downpipe all being so close to the rad and the turbo being water cooled. It was just superheating everything and it couldn't cool it down ! Had a new downpipe made and just waiting to get new rad setup in (triple core half rad ) and removed water lines to turbo, then going to have it mapped again as pretty sure the old downpipe was leaking like a siv !
