chrome
Hi hope someone help please. When I open the door the interior light no longer works. Is there a fuse of relay I can check. Thanks
ChrisLeeBoost
Check the bulb?
Starlet__SR
Check the door switches too. Sometimes these can fail and are often overlooked.Day
chrome
Bulbs works on the switch in the light, none of the doors put the light on though.which makes me think a main component..
patman
Mine hasn't worked for ages now, just lefted it like this and use phone torch, bulbs fine in it, thought the door switches were fine as still get the red icon on speedo cluster so would be interested aswell what's going on
chrome
Any one have a circuit diagram or know which fuse to look for.
carson230
Mine was the same, door switches were faulty and connection was corrode on the bulb holder/switch for the doors
Pete_A
Mine does the same, but it occasionally works if i whack the dash just above the heater position knob,
chrome
I would expect one of the doors to put the light on if it were a dodgy switch? There's no corrosion in the light itself
funny onion
Both my GT's are like this. it's the door switches on both of mine.
FMuscle
I would expect one of the doors to put the light on if it were a dodgy switch? There's no corrosion in the light itself Not if you didn't notice when the first one failed, and now the second one just went... Take one of the switches off, and put a jumper lead between the wire and a good earth/ground. that will tell you if the switch is faulty
carson230
Its hard to see the corrosion on the actual light unit as its where the two prices of metal are riveted together
Bean
Clean both door switches and check the contacts in the light. I resoldered mine and it worked again but not for long so I bought a new one from Toyota.
glanzadude
I just got two new door switches and bulb holder from toyota works fine now
chrome
Am I being thick but I have an interior light in the middle of the roof which works when I open the door but the front one which has the sun roof switch in does not. Is it supposed to? It only comes on when I flick the switch.
