How much is a Toyota release bearing? I just put a new koyo one in and im thinking it may be whats causing my issue :/ I went for the Exedy organic fast road clutch as i didnt fancy a paddle clutch for daily usage and im pretty sure i wont be upping mine from 220bhp anytime soon

Yeah! Plenty of answers for the opposite problem, release bearing, but not like this I'm now thinking exedy may have sent me the wrong clutch and potentially the wrong pressure plate also :/ payed a garage to look at it, after 3 hours of Labour the problem is the same :/ Brendon

Been reading all of the previous topics going wayyyy back and it seems only one person has had a similar sounding problem to mine and the thread was never finally answered :/ Any chance the release bearing needs "wearing in" or its the noise of the particular clutch I have? Obviously the pressure plate gets some wearing on it from the release bearing, comparing it to my old one, when I took it back off there was slight marking on the pressure plate. Am I right in saying the friction plate will only fit in 1 way? I wouldn't have thought it was the wrong way around but I'm just trying to rule t

Where to start... Engine started making a loud tapping noise, tappits or bottom end I don't know, so I bought a new engine to fit in it. I bought a new exedy organic fast road clutch for it a couple of months ago and didn't get round to fitting it, so I thought whilst the engine was going to come out it would be an ideal time. Also the clutch was bought from Id-workz with, I assume, the right release bearing. Spent a whole day swapping the engine and putting in the New clutch, everything I thought was going great, the engine even started first time! Then... I went to put it into gear and as

My tappets (I think) have just started making a noise, you can hear it even with the bonnet closed and when i rev the engine the noise just gets faster and slightly louder. Is there a guide on here on how to change/adjust the tappet? From what i have read it doesnt sound like it will cause a problem with my engine but just make an annoying noise. Any chance of it being an injector? even though my fuel pressure doesnt seem to have changed? Thanks Brendon

Sorry my fault should have probably explained a little more! Running a TD04 mapped to 1.0Bar, 215 lbft of torque and 220bhp. The standard clutch wasnt going to last long but its slipping at higher revs so with sensible driving i need to make it last until i have another Thanks for the reply! Brendon

Have recently been looking for a new clutch and flywheel as mine is slipping under boost :/ Can anyone recommend a good affordable clutch? Have been looking on "The forbidden Bay" and there seems to be clutches from a corolla which are apparently right for a EP91, can anyone enlighten me? Thank you, Brendon

Its alright mate, dont think i will be needing the shell now as i think its pretty much fixed, i intend to keep the car so i have time to replace the front cross member As i was saving all my money to potentially get it jigged or reshelling it, now i have money Want that varis front bumper and need some new alloys as my Cades were a write off :/ then hopefully going to get a full respray in a nice matt colour as my boss has just started plasti-dipping :DDDD Brendon
