Yeah that's what I was thinking! Still can't decide!! Got abut a week until the car is back on the road to decide Brendon
-
Ahhh hey mate! Yeah i knew that answer would be coming it was either that or try and get these at a bit of a better price from Iddy and get them refurbed http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/77605-16-x-7-rays-cal-choppy-alloy-wheels/ Atleast i know these would be better quality wheels! Hopefully should have the car on the road soon but when i do the 6j minilights i have wont really be able to hold me on the road very well :/ so hence why i was thinking of the upgrade. Got a list as long as my arm of parts i have bought and need to fit already :'( Brendon

I know that these are cheap alloys and probably bad but was wondering if anyone knew anything about them, or had any dealings with anyone who has had them? Brendon http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/15-VW-CADDY-MK1-80-96-Fitment-New-AXE-EX8-4-WHITE-Alloy-Wheels-4x100-ET30-/251503675130?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3a8ec986fa

I have an 'aged' rocker cover and i dont like the sight of it. Whats the best way of cleaning it up? not sure if i fancy taking it off to get it powder coated again :/ Brendon **The old one was powder coated but developed a crack :/ hence the 'aged' one

still got the door cards? are they in good condition? Brendon

Clear Out! Some Aftermarket Bargains! price drops!
brendonware replied to jordan walker's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Still got the Dump valve? If so i might have to take it off your hands! Brendon -
I'd be interested PM me if still available
-
Its a sensor that bolts onto the brake caliper and the cable goes up the suspension strut and into the arch lining then into the engine bay, not too hard to change once you take the arch lining out. And it just plugs in Brendon
-
How much for just the door cards? Brendon
-
Please could someone give me the part number for a coolant temperature sensor for a 96-97 glanza v, Or even better anyone got one for sale? Brendon
-
Blue glanza with black front end exeter
brendonware replied to Towbar's topic in I Spy, Have You Been Spotted?
It used to be a nice car! When it was all blue with some oversized XXR's on it! then the arches got DIY rolled and then crashed it, its sad to say but i think the only thing left to do was break it, or send it to the scrapyard heaven in the sky! -
Got a new one from my work for about £30. depends if you trust a "second hand" battery (no offense given) Brendon
-
I'm also looking for a wideband but dont really know much about them! Mine was mapped at 2.8bar of fuel pressure running up to 1.1bar on a TD04 but I currently have a map sensor issue so wanted to make sure that the fueling was correct and not cooking my pistons! Brendon
-
Anyone know what the part number for the coolant temperature sensor is for an EP91 4efte? Thanks, Brendon
-
Paper clip test FTW! Like Seab said "Paper clip test? Bridge E1 and TE1?" and turn the ignition on and count how many flashes the engine management light gives off, it will be something like 2 flashes then a short pause then like 1 flash, which would mean error code 21! Brendon
-
Yeah thats probably a good shout, just put a reserve for a small cost and let them fight for it! Brendon
-
Thats mental! You think its cus its for an ep82? i sold my identical ep91 one for £500 no problem! Free Bump for a bargain!

I undid most of the tap from the map sensor past the injectors and all the wires seem to be the originals and in good order, not too sure of how far im going to have to trace the wires as that would mean stripping the main loom wire back to the bulk head. I'm going to take out the glove box and see if there is anything obvious on the ECU side of things and if not im going to have to get a multimeter and test the resistance of the green and green-red wires of the map sensor to the ECU Brendon
-
Yeah mate ill have it, even if its not it its not exactly a huge cost think i might have your paypal address already (bought the Varis front bumper from you ) Thanks, Brendon
-
That was a fast reply Jamie! What do you think on the situation? When the car is started i can feel and hear the knocking through the main pipe into the top of the power steering pump? Sounds like a good deal though mate Brendon
-
As above, I think my brothers power steering pump has started to make a knocking noise, its either that or the water pump. Anyone got any ideas or replacements available for sale? Thanks, Brendon
-
There is grey tape around the wires connecting the map sensor to the loom should I just peel it all off and see what is underneath? As I didn't install the emanage I don't know too much about the wires connecting it up, but I suppose I could try and trace them. How or why would it be earthing? Thanks guys!! Brendon
-
obviously something has happened since as mike@td said he didnt notice anything and it seemed to be ok for a month or so :/
-
thanks for the replies! yeah im running emanage blue and ive had this problem for a while but its only now im realising thats probably what caused the death of my old engine. i suppose im going to have to chop the old plug off and fit this new plug and see if that makes a difference. as far as i understand the error code is caused by it not reading the manifold pressure correctly therefore pretty much guessing the fueling!
