Yuh tried 2 ecu and 2 sets of iridium heat 6 plugs. The car runs lumpy, I can bring the turbo in slowly and it's ok ish however if I try to just open the throttle it bogs down and puffs out black smoke.
chaps im still running mega rich. im literally getting less then 20 miles on 5 litres of fuel (shocker). ive ran the diagnostics and got the output here if you want to look over it - https://efiles.jerseypost.com/link/SnSM8hroYFhQ83qsrZ4AmD compared it with my diag from my 5efhte and cant see much variation but someone might have a keener eye for stats then i do. any ideas now? revised nearly everything: - map (tried 2) - rotor arm (tried 2) - dizzy cap (tried 2) - magnecor leads (and standard ones) - swapped coil pack - gone over wiring - timing - tested ECT sensor - lambda sensor havent looked at TPS yet however it reads on the logger the same as my 5e with -- null
Never owned a starlet with standard suspension and after I realised the previous owner of my ep81 had cut the springs to the point it feels like it doesn't have any I put a set of standard ones in and now it feels like I drive an off roader. Not my pic but basically how mine sits. Is that normal? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Knocking = fucked engine (repairable). (black/blue) Smoke out back = fucked rings or turbo. White smoke out back (steam) = possible hg failure. Low compression (if u test it) = engine rebuild Plenty of dodgy sellers (see negative feedback area). But also plenty of good sellers aswel as forum people who will help you with whatever you buy
Prob gonna b selling my toyosport mani soon. It was brittle when I got it so I repaired the cracks and resurfaced where it was warped. Added a brace bar to the mix and it never went again Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
All sorted boys. Was the lamda sensor that was causing the issue (odd cause that lamda worked fine in my gt). Anyway swapped it out for a 4 wire one and used the existing cabling for the signal and ground then even wired up a harness for the heater and now all is running as expected thank fook. Thanks to TrisK for the wiring diagrams and as always colin for input knowledge and guidance Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Ok so had another look today with the zf logger running and noticed that the ecu believes the engine is running full lean . So when I looked closer saw (and remembered) that the 2e engine ran a 2 wire lamda as opposed to a gt's single. So question is what to do with the brown one? Do I bridge it to an earth and run the single wire lamda it swap in a 2 wire lambda? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
