It does seem very similar to when the ignitor was earthing itself. But is fine on the standard ecu, didnt think it would make that much difference with a p&p. ill check all that before putting the gut out of money.

The guy said it definetly worked when he removed it and seems like a good guy. Where do you suggest starting trisk? Ive got new ht leads, new plugs and new coil in the last 4months

Reset the ecu today and left it to idle for 30mins and still the same issue. It misfires like a bitch under load and can here it popping even when cruising and doesn't seem to get better. The guys said he'd refund me if i destroy the ecu. I know plug and plays are £400 upwards so dont wanna loose out if this is just normal for a new ecu. Did about 5 miles with no improvement, any else experienced this then the ecu resolved it?

Id offer you £350 posted, ive been offered a p&p in the UK for £400 and for the price id rather buy from home country. Know its a cheeky offer

Reckon its definitely fucked, wouldnt go above 1krpm let it idle for about ten minutes. Stuck the standard ecu back on. Hopefully wideband comes and i can retry it properly. Hard to find somewhere to let a noisy car idle for 30mins

I agree, but it was a risk being unbranded and £180. And by the looks of things these days, you cant even trust a personal map done by a tuner

Going say doesn't seem like your deadline is gonna be met. If i was you bud i buy a running 4efte put that in with all your parts run that while you build up a forged fte yourself. Least then you can save for a better turbo setup. Even run a bigger turbo on low boost on standard engine

i got a decat pipe put on. You can get them so cheap secondhand its not worth destroying the original cat, least that way if you HAVE to put it back in for a MOT you can. The only downside is you might start seeing boost creep as the system becomes free flowing. I'd suggest porting the wastegate while you have the cat off and can get to the turbo

I drove mind with a CAT for a few months, much preferred it after de-catting. Could definitely feel the difference and turbo spooled much better, get more pops and bangs and the exhaust note changes slightly too

Diesel is good to soak in i did it with some i sold, and the person i bought mine off did it. Other technique ive seen is using electricty. Link the positive to a spare metal rod, drop that in water with baking soda then attach the negative to the coilover and dunk that too
