  1. you got any rust on the shell mate?
  2. Mate in driftworks i saw a video for electricla boost gauges vs mechanical. The only one that matched the mechanical one was the defi electronic one. There was greedy and a few more. And they arent cheap and they didnt read the same boost. So all i can say is go mechanical and be safe. If my boost gauge reads 0.1 bar more of boost, my engine could get fucked.
  3. My cars got this and i didnt know it was a mod. Loool
  4. Totally agree. I beleive anyone modding their car the first thing u shud get is a wideband and det cans
  5. Just get a motor from someone whos breaking a starlet on here. Go into breakers section im pretty sure theres someone wholl sell one. I once had a problem similar to yours and my wipers were randomly comming on. And then it just stayed on all the time. And started to blow fuses. It ended up being tge fuse box. My mechanic moved the fuse box and it returned to normal. We opened it up and it was fine after that. Open the fuse box in the engine bay. It will tell you what fuse it is and what amp it needs to be. I think the wiper ones are in the car just under the steering wheel. Also says what amp
  6. Ive never done a relocation onto my bumper on a n/a starlet. But ill soon be doing it on my glanza. Im going to remove one of the fogs and have it in there. Just waiting for the winter to go by
  7. Dont need bov. Take off airfilter and put a mesh. Even better sound lol
  8. Dont use manual boost controllers. I had one it will build boost till 1bar then drop off and thats on a td04 so it doesnt run out of puff. Go for electronic. Best way of course is external wastegate.
  9. I dont recommend removing standard airboxes. They are designed properly and flowed before manufacture. Only time i would change it if it was coming out the bumper to ram cold air in. Panel filter is good
  10. Ive always wanted an s13 but they are rust buckets
  11. Yh true but the higher the compression the more efficient it will be also. But problem with a large turbo is the time to spool up. So its not as efficient as it would be off boost. Id rather have a car thats efficient off boost. Ie increase compression. Ill also lower the boost slightly to compensate for it. Theres load of info out there on how to calculate what your cylinder pressure is going to be on boost. So just increase compression and lower boost and get the same cylinder pressure. You might have less power. But it will be hell of a drive
  12. I got an alternator thats got a noisy bearing u can have it for free if u wanna pick it up. It does charge properrly
  13. Ive got a parcel shelf. Its pretty mint hasnt been cut or anything. Ull have to collect
  14. The plx dm6 gen3 looks the bomb!!!! I think ill get one when my student loan goes through
  15. I had a look on ebay couldnt find it. I think ill just end up going for an exedy organic
  16. Without tracking it does that. Not done wishbones on my starlet yet but i went through two sets of wishbones on my previous car. And it pulls all over the place becuase the tracking is out. Basically you get possitive toe, which makes the car unstable and wanting to change direction with ease.
  17. I think your ringlands have gone matey. Try having a look at your pistons and you bore through the spark plug hole before you rip your engine apart.
  18. I dont see why you have invested in a forged engine and gone for a td04. Id rather spend that money on a standalone and a proper turbo. Emanage blue is shit. If you go forged pls go standalone. Just having DIS would make a big enough difference. I recon if u had a standalone u would see around 300 on a td04.
  19. Mine idles around 700 too but its lumpy. And i dont think its right. From what ive read before its supposed to be in between 800-900rpm. Im pretty sure 600-700 isnt right.
  20. Does anyone know where i can buy this from. I had a chat with a mate today and he had one on his forged lump. He said it was cheap too. Sounds to good to be true but i just want to know
  21. I havent done yet. But I will check. My cousin said he did so I beleived him. I shud do it over the christmas holidays
  22. Thanks buddy will have a look
  23. Hi I got a boost leak from my intercooler. I was told by my cousin who was the previous owner. Im running o.4 bar boost from a td04 on a standard actuator. So what i was thinking is to replace the core. But ideally i want something that is known to be efficient. I was planning on using a GTR intercooler but they are huge. So does anyone know of any coolers that come of cars or any good ones that are cheap. Prefferably second hand. As im a student. Waiting on student loans to splash out the pennies lol Thanks
  24. Id go for a tf035 from a forester i hate the td04. I can see why people love it. But i live in london. Also if u want a cheap setup. When i mean cheap. Get a toyosports manifold from ebay. Put a brace on it. Ull proberlly have the complete setup for about £250 to £300. And to be honest most manifolds will crack, some take longer then others. And only difference i can say between a good and a bad manifold is how well it flows. Turk
