Anything Wrong With A Custom Intercooler Like This?
riko666 replied to ste91's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I'm using a Focus ST Intercooler...as long as the dimensions fit with the space you intend it going in, it'll be fine really, as sexy Bill said, the piping is imperative...however, with my intercooler I only needed two pipes fabricating, as opposed to the silly looping and cross-over ones typical in Starlet kits -
if it was just the four spokers, they'd be ube, but the five spoke ones are meh But, you know I love you Phil...infact, that little blemish on the inside spoke of one of the wheels? That's my loving

Several bolt-on options available: - AE101/111 twinpot caliper based conversion, cheap enough, about £300-500 depending on parts used - Wilwood kit: Available from Dave Burwash for around £800 I think? - Endless kit: stock diameter 6 piston caliper, £2000 I can get some spacers and calipers for the Twinpot conversion, all you'd need then is to buy the discs (about £100ish) and have them machined down, as well as a bit of grinding on the caliper bracket, oh, and longer wheel studs

That's pretty lame - if someone wants to reserve an item then it's upto the individual selling the item if he'll allow it, banning the word is just assinine

Have you contacted Maisto? On the other hand, try to find a more bespoke company that make limited runs. How about the company that makes the EP71 one? I'm almost certain though someone brought this subject up before and had found a company that was willing to make models for far smaller numbers!

It's bolted on the firewall, little small block of metal where all the brake hardlines go into
-
Hello - is the brake master cylinder and distribution block available (as long as your car is non-ABS)? Let me know, thanks

I see everyone's found the pictures of me on holiday...like what you see boys? -
Bolt-in rollcages have little effect on the actual torsional rigidity of a vehicle as the tolerances in the joins and joinery dissipates some of the force transfer through the tubing and bla bla. It's when its all welded to key structural areas where the real gains in rigidity are to be had. I still don't see the fad for having rollcages on road vehicles...they're designed to be used with helmets, so that they can absorb the shock, your head will fare less well. Nifty fabrication regardless

It's probably a case of someone taking the stereotypical rumour of Police (sometimes true) and Insurance Brokers trawling through internet forums to incriminate the guilty, far too literally
