  1. What I think got it it's high ratings, is that despite some repetition or filler material, there was always a distinct beginning, middle and end. The transformation of Walt, the increasing risk and desperation of his actions, and the consequences both on himself, his family and everyone around him... It was always going somewhere. I loved Lost but it really disappointed me towards the end, the writers totally lost track of what they were doing, adding increasingly more ridiculous sub-plots and twists, losing track of what originally made the show so great. Same can be said for Heroes,
  2. Started some cleaning today, removed my tatty old plates to clean behind: Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr Riffy!! Nice new plates, went for a 13x7 rear, and a 12x6 front: Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr Fixed mt wind deflector, it had just unclipped, so didn't need any new adhesive, but this rubber runner had started coming away at the front, so I applied some Tiger Seal underneath, taped it to hold it down and cure: Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr So, jacked the car up in stands and took the wheels off, got my mate to

  4. I love how everyone has these 'rare' exhausts just kicking about Hold fire guys I might try to sort something out
  5. Yeah I might pay them a visit tbh, I can always weight them up against the price and availability of the Fuji, which is likely to be quite a bit more. Could always give them photos of the Fuji and get a kind of replace system made..
  6. I've watched Dexter, watched Weeds a couple times too, loved that show. And currently watching the good old Sopranos.
  7. Can't wait for Game of Thrones to start again next year Anyone watch Walking Dead?
  8. I'm surprised by how economical it's been! Seems like the same gear ratios as the Polo it replaced as my commuter, and at motorway speeds, 50/70mph it's using about the same amount of fuel. It goes down a bit quicker if I need to teach a 1-series BMW not to tailgate me, but still....
  9. Cheers man, and you're welcome haha. Got loads of ideas in my head but it's gonna be a long term build. I'm deliberating whether or not to start building on power with the CT9 or just look ahead to an upgraded turbo and the parts needed for that. But aside from the engine I think Meister coilovers, WMS big brakes, as many chassis and handling parts as I can get my hands on.. Stripped rear with carpeted false floor, may or may not run a lightweight audio setup... Engine noise or not, I need my music.. Full spectrum of gauges etc. Fixed bucket seats, no idea which ones yet, I love Re
  10. I know man, I love the straight pipe looks but couldn't deal with the noise unfortunately.. Tein US are the official distributors on Fujitsubo in the States, so I'm waiting for price / availability of a system from Tein UK.
  11. It picks up dude. I watched it week by week until it finished, incredible series, I'd recommend it to anyone
  12. They're only up the road from me, never been too sure of them though... I guess with that warranty and bespoke builds I could check them out. Can you recall what kind of prices they charge?
  13. Was it one of the well-known companies that made it dude? Done some searching, and the Fujitsubu Legalis R (if the Glanza one looks close to this) is exactly what I'm after! Now to find a stockist.....
  14. I've got a Blitz Nur Spec cat-back on the car, it sounds nice don't get me wrong, as I'm not a fan of overly loud exhausts, this is relatively quiet. But, personally I feel the tail pipe is too big. I know larger diameter tailpipes are part and parcel of JDM cars and tuning, but I believe this is 4.5", whereas I'd prefer around 3.5" with a back box not much bigger. Can anyone recommend a good one to look out for? All the main brands seem to have large tail pipes, I really like the race look of the Buddy Club, but that's gonna be way too loud! Does anybody have a custom made exhaust
  15. Haha, cheers - yeah I will do man, I've used some similar stuff on an old car, it bloody stinks.. I'll just do a row of tiny dots along the where it sits and tape it in place until it's dry. Just hope for a bloody dry weekend now, at least 1 day, cause it's been constant rain all week
  16. Howdy gang! I had a Glanza a few years ago but couldn't afford to keep it, but luckily it ended up in the hands of our own Liam D (small world eh?) Fast forward, I can actually afford one now, didn't search long, just wanted a clean, near-standard Glanza V - found this for sale: toyota-starlet-S807223-4 by Smithyithy, on Flickr toyota-starlet-S807223-1 by Smithyithy, on Flickr toyota-starlet-S807223-2 by Smithyithy, on Flickr toyota-starlet-S807223-3 by Smithyithy, on Flickr toyota-starlet-S807223-5 by Smithyithy, on Flickr toyota-starlet-S807223-6 by Smithyit
  17. Thanks for the info dude, appreciate it.
  18. David that's great mate, cheers! You almost have the same reg as me too! Mine is 965 instead of 958 lol
  19. Cheers dude. I'm gonna go out with a tape measure, I want the front just a bit smaller than it is now, but not too small lol
  20. Pretty desperate for this guys, it's letting in water at motorway speeds given the heavy rain we've had! Someone has to have a door knocking around? I only need a 12" piece cutting off it...
  21. Hi, I'm ordering some nice new plates without the crappy GB and Euro banding.. I'm going with 13x7 at the back so it fills the surround properly, but at the front I'm not sure whether to go a bit smaller, say 12x6.. So can anyone post a pic of their facelift fronts with the plate size you're running? Just want to make sure it will look okay.. Cheers.
