  1. Nissan GTR is £76k, BMW M3/M4 is £56 starting price.. If it performs well enough they could aim it between those 2.. it might be more viable to price it lower than the BMW though, but we're yet to hear any reals specs so who knows. They're showing the concept the same way they did with the FT-86 / GT-86, with this being called the FT-1.. It's clearly a spiritual successor to the Supra, regardless of its name.

I love my Glanza and have / had huge plans for it, and can afford them too, but I'm just struggling to justify going through with it :/ Knowing I'll end up spending anywhere in the region on £15k on a car worth 1/5th of that.. It'll be awesome, I mean some of the big builds on here are incredible, but it's just so much money.... Really in 2 minds to be honest..

I think this is a really good idea, could even be sticky'd in one of the main sections, have a main post that lists any suggestion made, sort the list by region / area and for each one have name, address, number, website if applicable, services, and any reviews from members and what work they had done. I know there are the few main tuners on the forum, but it's not always possible to travel to them for some people, nor is it easy to find reputable local tuners / garages other than word of mouth recommendations.
  7. I really do hope people like that crash and die, utter scum of the lowest kind. My work takes me around the motorways and A-roads in that area so I'll keep an eye peeled for either of the cars mentioned, for what it's worth :/
  8. I'm in the same boat, allbeit only 6'1", the driving position is naff compared to my Mk7 Golf. It feels too 'upright', and even with the seat all the way back my legs are too bent up.. Defo need a better seat on a low rail..
  9. Doesn't sound like it has mate. It's just a metal piece that fits in where your speedo cable screws into the gearbox. It changes the tension of the cable, so if before your speedo said you were going 100kmh (62mph), you'd now actually be doing 100mph. I'm not sure how it affects the odometer, but I'd guess it changes that too, ie. if your car has done 50,000km, it will now start adding miles, meaning your odometer will go up slower. I made a note of my odometer reading before fitting the converter, if I sell the car in the future and the buyer wants to question and work out the exa

I'm a big sucker for Dodo Juice stuff, but I use Gtechniq C2V3 sealant for the final finish product - I agree with above about waxes, and find that synthetic sealants give a better, sharper finish on white cars than wax does. If the paint's really dull then you can go the machine polisher route, but Mr.Chem is right that a glaze like he mentioned might be enough, the slight abrasives will get rid of minor defects and the fillers will help fill any that it can't remove. Be careful though, I don't find that glazes offer much in the way of longevity, and some waxes and moreso some sealant

  12. So for the live wire, is it just a case of extending a wire from the original positive terminal, through the car and to the battery in the boot, with a fuse in the middle? I thought it'd be more involved than that, I'm putting together an earthing kit at the moment which I guess would work just as well in the boot as in the engine bay if done right..
  13. Didn't know whether to put this here or in electrical, but my ABS has recently come on my dash.. All I've done recently is fitted my speedo converter, and removed my stereo, ashtray etc, and I haven't driven it much in the past couple of weeks :s Any ideas?

  15. Having a reason isn't an excuse though, it's illegal to have it in your windshield. As above, you may get away with it unnoticed, or you may be pulled and let off with a stern word.. It's luck of the draw really, they can fine you for it.. I'd say if you do need to risk it, don't make a habit of it, ie. get it sorted as soon as you can.
  16. Ah okay, well I've based the fitment on Whitestar's Glanza, he's running 16x7.5" ET35 with 195/40: I don't think he has any issues at his height, I know he's got a smaller tyre profile to allow to stretch for clearance, but he also has an extra .5"and 5mm lower offset. I'll see how it goes

  20. I know dude, but It's one of those judgement calls for the best looks, I mean the car will never be a show pony, but I just think that extra inch diameter looks so much better.. Plus, with 45 profiles, the rolling radius is very close to 15's with 50 profile, so it shouldn't throw it out a noticeable amount.
  21. That is really good value for such a good tyre.. The ones I'm looking at in 195/45-16 are double that price
