  1. Cheers mate that'd be useful Yeah I always hear good stuff about the Uniroyals, so I'll consider them too, the 3 others I'm looking at are all rated A or B for wet grip on the tyre sites.. I probably wouldn't notice a big difference between any of those as they're all supposed to be great tyres.
  2. Fair enough, the offer's there. You might make more in the long run by swapping some parts to standard, I've done so in the past with easy to change parts.
  3. Dibs on Recaro interior if you want dude, swap with cash for my 98 spec - very clean.
  4. Do you have a picture of the pipe that comes with it Socks? Mine came with one of these filters so I'm just curious if I have the actual full kit..
  5. Ah, I may try to get a bit of negative camber added then, what are your thoughts on toe settings for fast road use?
  6. For sure. I'm getting my wheels from Rimstyle, and surprisingly it actually works out cheaper to buy a wheel / tyre package from there than to buy the tyres separately from a tyre site. I'll be going for something like Michelin Pilot Sport, Continental Sport Contact or Pirelli P Zero. The car scared me recently, I wasn't even hard on the power, but the way the front lunged over on a big roundabout, it felt like the front wheels just cambered in and lost all grip... Question: If I get the wheels / tyres before coilovers, so I'm still running standard suspension for a month or
  7. Where do they catch dude? Inner or outer arch, full lock etc? I shouldn't think I'd be going 70mm down, I won't have rear passengers anyway so won't need to account for any drop there..
  8. Well the way I've sketched it out, I'm getting rid of the existing earth to the slam panel, cause it just doesn't seem an ideal place to have one.. Replacing the other standard one, the big bolt that goes by the battery tray, with a 4awg cable... Then adding four 8awg cables around the bay, should be enough
  9. I'm in the process of making my own earthing kit. I've got some lovely new quick release battery terminals to use, I'm just waiting for a pair of adapter posts so they fit onto the tiny Japanese-spec battery! Now I've bought 5m of 8awg cable, and a metre of 4awg.. What should I run to where? I was going to upgrade the 2 existing earths to 8awg, and add a further 2 8awgs; 1 on the strut and another against the bulk head.. Should one of these cables be 4awg as a final earth? If so, which one? Am I okay to wire 3 x 8awg cables and 1 x 4awg cable to the same battery post? Final
  10. Think he said he can weld himself dude, that's why I linked it cause it'll save him money in the long run.
  11. I'm sure Liam D has got a custom made exhaust that looks just like the Buddy Club but was probably a lot cheaper... I mean if you find a reputable fabricator that has quality 0.5mm, you could get a rep made up much cheaper, that's probably the route I'd go..
  12. The advert reads a bit weird.. Almost like the seller is more of a movie fan than a car enthusiast, if that makes sense?
  13. A lad I used to hang about with years ago lives in Pelsall and has a Black Glanza V, so it may have been him, he was never big on the internet or forums though. I'm pretty sure his is a pre-facelift?
  14. What's the biggest size you can get under 15's? I'm gonna be running 16's daily so I've got a fair bit of room, but I'll probably use a set of 15's with 888's as track / sprint tyres so will need to get them over the disks too..
  15. Saw this the other day, don't know if the price is actually good but if you dot mind a bit of welding / adjustment it could be useful? Top of the page.. http://www.japshop.co.uk/acatalog/EXHAUST.html
  16. Would you notice the effect of engine braking more with a lighter fly wheel?
  17. Cool, thanks dude. I guess I should get saving
  18. Wicked, thanks guys. So Balljoints and Track Rods - are they easy to come by from car spares stores? Ie. Glanza specific or just basic Starlet fitment? I hate doing balljoints so I'll probably get a garage to do them and make sure the tracking is all good while they're at it..
  19. Cheers, is the GT fitment very similar to the Glanza? I know about the offset, I was worried that a larger diameter at a higher offset would rub the inner arch, a set of 15's I had on an old car used to. I'm currently running 15x7 w/ 195/50... I'm not 100% of the offset but I compared them on willtheyfit.com and they're coming out very similar I was tempted to go down to 195/40, but with the state of our roads that may be asking for trouble
  20. Can anyone offer any input to this setup? Set of wheels I'm looking at only come in 16x7 ET40 for 4x100 fitment.. Was planning on 195/45 tyres but I'm worried the high offset could cause rubbing on lock if it's lowered.. Anyone ran anything similar?
  21. For the rear strut brace I was looking at the Zisco one, and then combining it with their C-pilar X-brace so the whole 'upper rear' of the car is sorted.. Definitely poly bushes though, but I'm really confused at to which kit, as there seems to be loads?! On Powerflex's website they list a 'front wishbone rear anti lift kit' ??
  22. After getting used to the way the Glanza drives, and giving it some beans on various types of roads, I've concluded that it handles a bit shit. Now I do need some better tyres, but they'll have to come with my new wheels, which at ~£800, won't be too soon. Likewise, a set of MeisterR's will need a bit of saving for. In the mean time I'm sure I can try to cure the wallowy ride, body roll and dive under braking.. My question is.. how? I've looked at the front and rear ARB kits, panhard rods, strut braces / lower bars, anti-lift kits, where shall I start? Is there a general 'order' in
  23. Well my PS4 was my present to myself last month, but from family and friends I got: Loads of shower stuff / aftershave Lego Star Wars Games Workshop voucher Jumpers, T-shirts, a Reindeer onesie, socks.. Massive tube of Jelly Beans and loads of chocolate - Reeses, Wonka, Hershey's etc Few really nice books Starbucks mugs and coffee stuff, Swiss thermal mug DVDs I'm 24 now so can't expect loads anymore, it's more the gesture that counts My sister was 19 on the 25th, so I spent the most on her, gave her my 32" LCD, bought some Nicky Clarke hair stick thing, and loads of stuff
  24. There's a place local to me that make exhausts, he made me a decat-back exhaust for my old Polo that exited just in front of the rear wheel for £100.. Depends if you want a proper backbox incorporated or not, but for essentially just a pipe running from your downpipe, down and out your bumper, I wouldn't pay 3 figures.
  25. Is there anybody that's gone from GT5 to this, willing to gift me a Glanza on GT5? I've spent the best part of 2 days trying to find one, refreshing he UCD, and I can't get one to appear... PSN is CBRsmithy if anyone can help me out
