  1. Love the wheel setup and stance on this, I've always liked 16's and think I may go down that route myself. Question - I see you have 195/40 on a 7.5 which gives a tiny bit of stretch, how do you find the traction / grip with these? And they're Falken tyres aren't they, how would you rate them?
  2. Bump, still need one if anyone's got a door they're willing to split ;)
  3. Ah, on some random site I've found a PDF of the instruction manual.. All Japanese, but the diagrams are pretty clear, so I may be able to remove it at some point.. It turns out the random little aerial that's stuck in the corner of dash is connected to it too...
  4. I found their website, it's Japanese only and pretty unreadable even with Google Translate lol, these must be long discontinued though.
  5. What's up gang, after a bit of investigation and panel removal, I found this: Turbo Timer by Smithyithy, on Flickr Turbo Timer by Smithyithy, on Flickr This is how the switches were set (sorry for the shit focus): Turbo Timer by Smithyithy, on Flickr Flicked that off and that seems to have deactivated it, so it's ready for alarm installation I left it wired up though cause there were a LOT of wires, and I didn't want to risk messing up anything. And yes, I gave that panel a thorough clean before refitting ;)
  6. Awesome Well I can reach it but can't get enough access or leverage to unscrew it, so it might be an underneath jobby - but my friend has my axle stands, and it just started pissing down, so I'll pause it for now. Thanks for the help guys, feels so good to be working on a car again, messing with stuff and learning new things
  7. Just found an old thread where somebody's cable had came out, and that tube is there too, so I'm gonna give it a go.
  8. Right, it is this one, the vertical one screwed in.. In the third pic, it's in the centre, just to the right of the large pipe.. Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr Untitled by Smithyithy, on Flickr ???
  9. Where abouts on the gearbox dude? I've almost taken my clocks out thinking it was the same process as my bike
  10. Hope this is the right section, but is there a guide or can anyone detail how to fit a MPH / KPH speedo converter unit? Thanks.
  11. Have a look at 'Whitestar's build thread dude, he bought a kit off eBay and it appears to fit really well, with only some trimming required internally, he was able to keep the standard bumpers fins and plate bracket etc.
  12. As above, preferably driver's side but either should do.
  13. Are the doors still whole? I need a driver's side window seal if you're willing to break it down.
  14. Okay, if that's what you suggest. When driving it flaps at the front near the mirror, so hopefully if I just re-stick that end it'll stay there.
  15. What's up players, just got my new Glanza home Mechanically she's sweet as a nut, but I've a couple of exterior issues I need some advice for.. Firstly, there's a piece of window seal missing, this causes wind noise as if the window were slightly open, and when we were driving home at 70 in the rain, it was letting a small amount in. In the pic, you can see where it ends, it restarts just below the wind deflector: Missing Window Seal by Smithyithy, on Flickr I can imagine changing the whole thing would be pain, so my idea is to get a spare seal from a car breaking, cut out th
  16. Very interesting! I've just bought my car, and the trader threw in a free pair of brand new bonnet dampers, still boxed and wrapped etc, for a Supra.. Worried they might be too big but I'll get them out and see if they'll fit like this tomorrow
  17. That's a bit disappointing if true.. But if you can get them for a similar price elsewhere, how would they stack up do you think?
  18. Just seeing what RHD Japan stock for the Starlet and came across these.. £577 seems reasonable if they're fully adjustable and are a decent kit, anyone heard of these or had any experience with them? http://www.rhdjapan.com/largus-fully-adjustable-coilover-suspension-toyota-25180.html
  19. What do you have in the DIN slots dude? Headunit, cubby hole etc..?
  20. Sandham and I aren't swapping, so it's available whenever. Got the model from the seller and it's one of these, CD / MD player with quite a spec by the sounds of things. Eclipse E3310CMT:
  21. Thanks Whitestar, I did find the pics in your thread, I was just being dozy at the time lol That's a great article Socks! So from what I can see, Whitestar has the HDI-style setup, which is the better of the 2, yeah? And regarding how you can get rid of the EFI pipe and mount the filter at the front, is this possible with the standard top mount? I can't picture the standard piping / intake route off the top of my head.. But mine has a HKS mushroom at the back corner of the engine bay... Could I get rid of the standard pipe and mount the filter up front, or do I need an aftermar
  22. Whitestar that's perfect! You got a pic of it in your bay in your build thread?
  23. Echo what's already been said, they're just timeless wheels that suit the car for it's era
