Some of the celicas and mr2s came with c52/56 but they are mounted from the top instead of the front

The na centre section of the gearbox is nearly an inch shorter as they have thinner gears

This is the damage ..... Sound like a worn synchro to me buddy best bet would be to check the condition when it's in bits As for different gears im unsure Colin is more of a guru than me but I know the fte gears are nearly twice as thick as fe gears

no problem buddy, i thought it would be a right task, but its not as bad as you expect ;-) haahaa mine broke under braking so dont wurrie about it ;-P while the box is in bits id check the breaings and synchros where possible

yeah buddy the housing is fairly simple to replace, if you follow this guide http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/59358-a-guide-to-fit-an-aftermarket-quaife-lsd/ obviously some parts can be ignored but this should help a lot, it helped me to replace the centre section of my gearbox :-) by the way you've done a cracking job haha

I've also just painted up a fibreglass reverse scoop which didn't turn out too bad. Needed some work on the vent as it was wonky as hell but the dremel sorted that ;-) I gave it a test fit and one side sits too high as the fibreglass is thicker on one side. I also need to secure it down so I'm think gin silicone some bolts to the underside of the scoop so I can remove it easily. Here's the test fit
