Sounds right to me.

What happens when you lengthen actuator?
-
Remove the hdi controller and see what just the actuator boosts at.
-
Instructions have a flick through see if it looks easy http://www.gizzmoelectronics.co.uk/pdf/MS_2_Ver_1.4.pdf Ive got a gizzmo shift light too which had to be wired into ecu loom, instuction on the gizzmo site worked a treat with 4efte ecu pin out, so imagine its same for this.
-
Lol hdi are know to be wank. Id go for the gold one too while daves got it on offer.
-
Yeah i got that one, found out first hand when i set the boost cut too low and it kept cutting boost. Contacted gizzmo to see what crack was and they told me about it. Yeah John, thats the one to go for.
-
Defo go msibc over ibc. The best feature thats not documented is the boost cut setting, set the boost cut and if you overboost to that setting it actually cuts the boost rather than just warning you. Defo a feature that could save your engine if you ever have a wastegate issue.
-
God you go early, too early for me ill meet you guys there.
-
Get a stock ct9 and run it at high boost. Spools quicker than a hybrid and way more low end power. I much prefer my stock ct9 over the hybrid I had.
-
I find the best way is to go out and leather it, switch off and leather it again. Sitting at idle is going to do nothing, I mean what will the ecu adjust when its at idle. I wouldn't waste the fuel at price it is lately.
-
Dude no ones going to do it for you. Just get in there and have a go. Ive never seen any 'ive fucked my dials' topics so dont worry.
-
Have a look see how the wires have been spliced in. You could probably get away with just cutting them away and taping the loom up.
-
fcc is a fuel cut controller not a speed limit defender. It will need to be removed before the JAM ecu is fitted.
-
Couple of guides here for you dude.... http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...oval-Monkfish-* http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showth...the-wastegate-* Give yourself a good 3 - 4 hours, its easy enough to do on your drive, just take your time and be carful not to round any bolts and defo drop the rad.
-
At 2500 rpm with no load on the engine its not going to be on boost so in theory the wastegate will be shut, so nothing will be coming out of the screamer pipe, so just normal exhaust noise.

Where did you get teh number plate sticker from please? -
Happens to me too. Happened when front pads were low, changed them and it went. Happening again at moment but my rears are shagged so down to that.
-
opinions on which clutch to get please?
DavidAshton replied to Georgie's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Those standard exedy replacements on ebay are bang on! Cant fault mine running circa 200bhp, and I know plenty of other who run them with no problems. Unless your going to run mega bhp and blast the fuck out of your car or launch out of every junction I wouldnt bother with a paddle. I ran an exedy paddle and it was awful for a daily driver, juddery as fuck and too heavy. Failed after a year too. -
Second hand caliper £20, job done.
-
Ignition area is full of wires all over I wouldn't know where to begin, just use a harness because its cheap and simple and saves messing. Do it cheap do it twice also springs to mind. Harness........ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HKS-TURBO-TIMER-HARN...=item4156b6c28b
-
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=paypal+phone+number+uk Third one down! Ignoring the adverts at the top!
-
Auto function works from car voltage, get a harness there like £10 off ebay, will save so much hassle.
-
Have you got an ignition harness for it, just a case of plugging it into that, one to the handbrake and an earth if need be? The fuck is the o2 sensor for on a turbo timer?

Tyres that dont quite stretch is all the rage in Japan, i thing you will be the first bringing it over here though!
