£30 for an mbc, there half that new! Got an ebc anyway so no ta. Thanks for all the ideas, bought a few little bits but going to 'try' and start saving it now as sugested.

Yeah 100% need V calipers. V disks are bigger than n/a so n/a calipers dont accept them. CRAIG-SR did the swap and was pleased with the results.
-
Bloody gorgeous that is and no JAM spoiler looks better imo.

Nicked this pic from somewhere but best one i could find

V power is wrong This should make it clearer, or possibly confuse you further

Nahhh mbc donst go where u have pictured. On the actual turbo there is a vac line coming out, its near the outlet, thats your boost source feed connect that up. Then on the actuator there is 2 vac lines if your running a standard actuator, top lines goes to the other end of the mbc. if your still running standard actuator leave the bottom vac line venting.
-
Actuator holds wastegate shut so it can build pressure up, pressure pushes the actuator open thus opening the wastegate, take the actuator off and the wastegate will always be open not allowing pressure to build up. Cant see how it will over fuel either its just like driving off boost

N858 Jbk - Ep82 - Rocky Road From The Start .......
DavidAshton replied to greggt's topic in EP80/EP82 Progress Blogs
Id check shapish that that Jam Chip isnt an FCD with no fueling mods or you could be saying bye bye to engine number 2 if your running too much boost! -
Maybe your doing more miles than before? Cant see disconnecting the actuator doing any damage, just means the wastegate will always be open so it wont be able to spool the turbo up if at all. There is just a little c clip holding the arm onto the wastegate flap, can take it on / off in seconds.
-
Bet thats miles, when the clock point at 30 are you actually doing 30mph? if so it will count in miles. 140 miles to £20 sounds about right to me. Also disconnect the actuator off the wastegate if you want no boost

In that case stick a coin over the hole, not sure if its a 50p or a 2p that fits over, if your broke as you say better hope its a 2p ;)

I got this metal bracket / tube that goes in the hole and still connects the breather pipe in, yours for a tenner if you want it.

Lol im guessing they were individual idea's, and ive done all them apart from the bushes so may look into that.....

I keep ending up with bits of money left each week and try to spend it on the car but I can no longer think of any cheap mods to buy so im after some idea's....... Say £30ish, can be anything for the car, exterior, interior engine mods etc..... but i want stuff on / in the car not cleaning products etc. Any sugestions? Also i cant save money for shit because i need to spend lol.

Wierd Noise When Bov Is Dumping?
DavidAshton replied to chriswoodfto's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNwspuknXsc Is it the above sort of noise but not as loud? If so thats defo turbo chatter, the spring in the bov will be too hard to let the valve open at low boost. IF you really want to fix it a softer sping would do the trick or a different bov. Also replacing your induction kit with the stock air box set up will stop you hearing the noise (although it will still be making it) the air box will muffle it. -
Well there is a problem between the button and the fuse then, so that narrows it down a little.
-
Does the fuse click when you press the horn button?
-
Its a plug for something else that im guessing was an optional extra, air con or fogs maybe, either way its always been unplugged and has nothing to do with the horn.

Lift your bonnet and press the horn, if the buttons and fuse are ok you will here the fuse click, which than means its the actual horns.
