Id have a VXR over a starlet just for the interior. Ive been driving my mum's corsa, granted its only the 1.2 version but the interior is so nice, i hated going back to the starlet interior after a week in the corsa.....

I imagine its due to the fact people running a td04 etc would either have to swap there whole manifold/turbo/decat setup or get a cat welded into there current exhaust. A lot of work to swap it and back over after the mot. For the sake of a friendly MOT i think its worth it. Im not sayin miss any other issues just emissions. All my MOTS have been fully legit though.

Well thats why your went through, it clearly states for a 94 a non cat test is needed. July 95 onwards cat test needed.

Id say you got lucky, also what year is you car? Im only quoting what is written in black and white in the MOT hand book. If you can find me some documentation that says: A car produced in 1996 that has no specific emmisions data on the VOSA database requires a non CAT test i will happily accept I am wrong, appologise to you, print it off and take it to my next MOT for a trouble free test.

It is a CAT test and you will not get below those limits without a CAT, tried and tested with my own car.

Read the flow chart again, if there is no exact match for the car you have to revert to the default limits specified in the box. Which is still a CAT test.

If you have only driven it in the wet / damp it will be a whole new ball of fun when its dry. I notice it loads when ive been driving in the wet for a few days and it becomes dry.

Welcome, lol at the FTSlow they always look so nice but just way too slow. Question answers 1. Not a clue myself how it works, have you tried the apex website for the manual? Im sure it will be there and just be a case of reading up how it works. 2. Low boost shouldnt be a problem if your using the apex boost controller, standard solonoid should be out of the question. Cant think of any other free mods....apart from gutting the cat. 3. There was never really a top spec V, plenty have optional extra's though which make them more desirable. 4. Never herd of rgb performance, cant see what they would have tuned apart from the boost controller. 5. PM admin. Have fun. Get some pics up.

Im running a Viper 480xv Built in turbo timer so you can fully arm the car with the turbo timer running, CAT 1, comes with a remote with LCD screen so you can check if you have locked the car when you tweak out and think you havnt. I added proximity sensors so it bleeps if anyone goes near it. Not a single problem in over a years use. Can add remote start, garage opener, total closure etc etc etc.

Lolz my mate wont be coming in his 106, engine has shit itself and he has had that many problems with it he is moving on, depending on if he gets a new car sorted he may still want to come. Im going to have to double check the dates as ive a feeling a may have to work.
