  1. I believe Ricky's are made a lot better than nightpager and are leak free to stop blowing on idle.
  2. All of the above seems a giant ball ache if you just want the sound, get a decat / screamer to run with the internal gate and it will sound just as good, save you a fortune too, external wastegate is only really going to give you better boost control which is overkill in my opinion for a ct9. Swap you decat for one of these and you will be sorted.
  3. All personal opinion really, i think a ct9 / hybrid external wastegate sounds mint, proper brutal but its each to their own at the end of the day.
  4. Glad you get home safe, im David who had the silver glanza the other night. Adam did have some 195/50's on it but one side did rub when people were in the back because it needs an adjustable panhard rod to pull the back end straight. If you not going to have anyone in the back it will be fine. Oil wise its always been run on 10w40 semi sythetic oil.
  5. I thought this was legit, it does look to me like that wastegate has a seprate feed. Maybe not....
  6. Oil! That car always burnt oil when Ben had it before.
  7. FUCK.....thats harsh man, what did you secure the mesh with?
  8. I think you can safely say you have saved this starlet from becoming a proper chav wagon!
  9. He may have sorted it then, its a while since ive seen him now.....good luck with the car, i always thought it had potential just needed to be in the hands of the right person.
  10. Thats my mate Ben's old car, keep an eye on the oil level though, as last time I saw it i was burning quite a lot of the stuff.
  11. It not white and from Rotherham is it? Possibly BUK last three letters of the plate?
  12. Sounds a good plan, you must have deep pockets.
  13. If your planning going forged at a leater date I dont see any problem with 1.2 bar on standard internals, or 1 bar to be safe. Either way it will be a weapon.
  14. Not sure if the same goes for a tongs turbo, but when i was setting the boost off just the actuator on my K1 I had to turn it in LOADS of times, on my ct9 it was boosting .8 when i put it on the K1 it hardly made boost, i had to wind it in about 10 times to get it anywhere near 1 bar, so may be that.
  15. Last night my car failed me again due to the stupid tiny japanese battery, i really should get it replaced but 99% of time its fine so im not. Was at the petrol station but left the lights on whilst i refulled, full tank from bottom to brim so took a few mins, qued, paid etc so 5 - 10 mins in total. Get back to the car and the bitch would start. Was late, not many people about so tried bumping it with little sucess as i could only roll 10m or so on the petrol station forecourt plus i had to push it then jump in. I tired cranking it loads of times hoping some life would be injected from somewhere.....it never started. Anyway some dude came over said he had some jump leads, banging.....there are some good people out there.....so anyway gets the leads on after a few mins gave it a try wouldnt fire into life without me giving it some on the throttle....as soon as it came to live and i let off the throttle it died again.....did the once or twice.....shitting me up thinking id got bigger issues than a flat battery. So the next time it started i kept it reving high for half a min or so, it struggled again when i let off but kept going, after a few mins it seemed to settle. Ragged it home good and propper as it had pissed me off. Been fine since. Now my question when i was trying to start it with the jump leads on why would the engine keep dying after it had started? and wouldnt start without the throttle pressed? Is it because all the cranking i had done had thrown a load of fuel in and it had to get all that burned out of the way? Im not worried or anything, it seems fine now, im just wondering for my own knowledge bank why it did that. If anyone know that would be good. Thanks David
  16. If i remeber correctly from when i had the red one its Toyota Super Red and code is 3E5. I may be wrong but that came to mind straight away.
  17. I love it, nice to see something different from the usual, nice spec too should be savage when running all set up.
  18. Is there any proof that fuel cut damages the engine? I often hear of people hitting it but never see any posts say 'i hit fuel cut and my engine blew up'. Is it not more a safeguard for the engine to stop it blowing up. Funny topic either way, i like it.
  19. Actually i might be talking bollocks, i cant remeber why i think there height adjustable, either way 40mm springs on koin's sit way lower the 40mm springs on standard shocks
  20. Koni's are height adjustable, you can alter how low the spring sits down the shock.
  21. You forgot to mention your on the bottom setting of koni adjustable shocks so your way lower than 40mm
  22. Yeah im going to put my first ct9 on saturday as that smokes the least out of the 3 and get the K1's seals done whilst its off. Im going to clean ou the oil feed / return as ive been told if this gets blocked it can raise pressure in the bine pushing the seals out. But to be honest i think ive just been unlucky.
  23. Yeah it blue and im certain it the turbo as i can see oil seeping out between the outlet and fmic pipe, its the same that happend on my first ct9, the smoke went for a while after i fitted the K1.
  24. As i said before it was very cheap but defo lesson learned, its such a ball ache swapping the turbo again. Im going to put my first ct9 on that came with the car, that smokes but only now and again and a lot less compared to the other two. Then im going to get the K1 sorted so i will get there in the end lol.
