My mate had a nightpager screamer on his CT9, he now has a TD04 external wastgate setup and to be honest i prefered the noise the CT9 made over the TD04, CT9 more high pitched and intense in my opinion. Each to there own on these things really, i was just thinking it would sound a bit more crazy than a CT9 being a hybrid. @Enzo Are you running an internal gate screamer or external with your hybrid?

Pissed about with plenty of cars with this set up, had the turbo 5 mins and the first car i abolished was a 182 RS clio, CTR's and similar 2 litres are no prob, chasing an M5 at 120mph (on the track of course) was interesting, the divers face was a picture, think he expected to leave me for dust. Just the other day had a good blast with an import WRX impreza and an M5 both at the same time, ok I was never going past the M5 but I could definatly keep within 10 - 15 car lenths and get a lot closer on bends, was pretty much even with the WRX, when I was infront he wasnt getting past and when he was infront i wasnt getting passed, UK WRX's are a different story though. Plus you never really know how modded other peaples cars. It mint fun chasing such big cars when your in a 1.3 (All of that happend on tracks yeah). Thing is i know there is much more potential in this turbo too, its only really holds 1.1 bar for a few seconds before its dropping off, so that could be sorted with an decent ebc. Also ive tried to run the turbo with a front mounted air filter, it boosts like crazy but isnt controlable, boost was still rising at 1.4 bar before i though fuck this and took my foot off. Kicked in like crazy though and boosted so quick. So i think with a ported wastegate and a front mounted air filter substantial gains could be made. The guy I got the kit off made 190 bhp and near enough as much torque with and air filter on very end of efi and the cat still in so the potential is definatly there. Rear ARB still the best thing a bought for the car, transformed the whole car really. I wasnt looking forward to putting the soft KYB shocks on the back and having the stiff TRD's at the front but at slower speeds I do think there is an improvement, like as the back end goes down more in the corner it seems to let more onto the front and grip, high speeds it does lurch a bit though. Not got anti lift kit and to be honest its not something ive really looked into to be honest, a worthy mod? Every journey really is a pleasure 50 mile round trip to work and back has never been so much funs, nothing better than boost to wake you up.. Tis better on fuel now too. And yes it does get cained most of the time but it sucks it all up and seems to love it.

A mapped TD04 too, not one running a standard ecu

Dammmn not updated this for so long, its going to take a while so bear with me here, 8 month worth of updates all rolled into one....... First up, ages ago I picked up a black scoop, clear indicators and a laguna lip and had the car looking like so....... At some point I had these 14" alloys on that I picked up super cheap. Had them on because id murdered the front tyres and could afford repacements at the time and wasnt risking 6 points....... After that, having got the front tyres sorted, i also collected some new bits, Autobahn FMIC, after fitting it I had some crisis and decided i hated the lip, scoop, indicators so it went around like this for a while. Some where inbetween i decided i didnt like the current look so on went the laguna lip again and the clear indicators, the scoop had to stay silver as id lent the black one a mate who then smashed his red one up so had to keep the black one, so silver has to do for now. Cant seem to find a pic for this stage but here is a video instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNwspuknXsc And a random pic from somewhere. Now the fun began...... Along came these for sale as a package for a decent price, fitting the FMIC had given me that urge for more power so though why not and got these.... Blitz K1 Blower, Blitz Access ECU mapped for a K1 and a JAM Manifold. Running 1.1 Bar it was an animal for 2 days untill the clutch couldnt take no more, luckly i had planned for this and had an exedy paddle all lined up ready, so got that in and all was good. This set up is perfect and fulfilling my needs perfectly at the moment. Full boost by 3k and never stops pulling through the revs. Have had some serious fun on the roads with much bigger cars. Although the turbo is spewing plenty of smoke and in need of the seals doing im going to make it last as long as i can. To add to the more agressive performance I added some JAM eyelids to give it that more agressive look..... This is what id done to my CT9 still boosted fun somehow.... Next up I came across some 98 spec rears pretty cheap so on the went as well as a few choice stickers. Stripped the rear and added some custom braces. MOT time busted my balls, 2 pages worth of FAIL left me with plenty of fixing to do, burst rear TRD shock had to go so the rear is now on two KYB Excel G's, new bearings up front and loads of other stuff but thankfully got it passed. Which pretty much brings this upto date and here are a load of pics from today.... Future plans are in no particular order Brakes (current one are shagged and disks are pretty warped) Race Tech Screamer Pipe (K1 and a screamer should sound immense right?) EBC (boost drops off too much at high revs atm) Turbo Rebuilt (oil seals are dying) Im well of pleased what ive achieved, from the start I kinda wanted to do everything to this car myself and see what kind of power i could get with nothing but bolt on mods that i could do myself. Also power run soon to see what the bitch is really doing.

Never knew they took the plates to the next car, ill try and see if i can find anything out. Would love to get that jap plate made up so i have a copy too.

Mine looked like this..... Dont think mine was ever more modified than i got it, just had marks where gauges probably were and some wires / holes that seem to have been for a sound system. Also mine has marks where a roof rack has been, who the hell has a roof rack on a Glanza.

In my bordem at work i decided to find you the thread http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....315&hl=http Near the bottom

In my opinion although ive never used it so cant comment on its effectiveness, i think its a total rip off and i think money could be spend better elsewhere.

There is a topic somewhere in which Jay posted pics of the optional extra catologue with loads of bits in, cant find it now but im certain its on here somewhere.

If you follow that chart for a 96 V it comes to cat test using limits on the left. Its only non cat for car used between 1st Aug 94 and 31 July 95, well thats how i read it.
-
Still cant see how you can get passed it acording to that chart?
-
Does this not apply anymore? Had my MOT this week and they were certain I had to have a CAT even though I said there is no UK model. In the end I had to put the CAT on and they did the test to those limits on the flow chart. According to the flow chart you should have had a CAT test, i think you just got lucky.

Gutted I couldnt make it, stupid MOT bustin my balls, next time i will be there.

What Size Bolt Replaces Cat Temp Sensor
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Got it sorted, for future reference if anyone needs to know a spark plug fits butters. -
Got to re fit my CAT to get it through my MOT but ive thrown the CAT temp sensor away as me decat only has a hole for lambda sensor. So does anyone know what size bolt will block the hole in the CAT for the temp sensor? Thanks David

Whenever i brim mine i can do about 75km before it drops to full so that seems normal, my petrol light dont flick on till im on the bottom line though.

Ive herd nothing but shit reports about these HDI controllers as of late, have you tried removing the controller and adjusting the actuator to run a bar just off that? Also when you say it wont hold a bar do you mean it hits a bar then drops back down or do you mean it wont get to a bar?
-
Well MOT'ed today and no surprise failed. Knew and can fix most things just 2 things Im stuck on. NSF wheel bearing has excessive play and OSR wheel bearing has excessive play I was asking at the garage and they said something about i might be able to tighten them up if i have a certain type? Basically i need the A - Z on wheel bearing dont know what they look like, how to check for excessive play, how to alter, nothing? Also failed no surpries on emissions but had decat, they did ask though if id had the engine stripped and rebuilt as it was brning super clean, no hydrocarbons or something, they were saying cars 5 years old wouldnt be this clean, how, what, why is this occuring? Can only be a good thing right? Oh one last thing, can you recyle rad coolant? Im not into being green and all that just dont want to buy more to drain it twice to put cat on then back off, just drain it and use the fluid that came out ok? Thanks David

My MOT expries 12th August and is booked in for a test on the 5th August, my car is no doubt going to fail but we will see. If it does fail on the 5th does that mean my car now doesnt have a valid MOT and invalidate my old MOT that expires on the 12th meaning if i drive its illegal as i dont have an MOT. or Will my current MOT valid till the 12th keep me MOT'ed even though ive failed one on the 5th? Does that make sence? Thanks David
