Has Anyone Run/running A Blitz K1 Turbo?
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Yeah ive got a pipe from turbo to actuator then a t piece in the middle that goes to hi/lo solinoid. The pipe that come from the nipple on the efi goes to the bottom port of the solinoid, just find a pic of a standard engine an plumb it so it looks the same. @ Jay, i didnt realise the efi fitted with just the bung removed i put some silicon joiner there, will change that now, cheers. -
Has Anyone Run/running A Blitz K1 Turbo?

They definatly love to boost. But progress has been made thankfully, initally tried the blitz actuator, hi boost, 1.3 bar before i thought fook this so no idea what it fully boosts to in hi, lo boost, .6 bar creep up to 1.15. So back to the drawing board, decided to put the air box back on with HKS panel filter and the blitz actuator. Hi 1.3 again BUT lo held 0.6 all the way to the redline, i knew low boost runs off just the actuator so thought yay no more creep and i can increase the boost using the toytuning actuator. Low and behold it worked, so i have the stock air box with the toytuing -
Has Anyone Run/running A Blitz K1 Turbo?
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
No ive not checked the afr's checked i only put it on today. I get what your saying about the tuning on a budget but i dont see the problem with this set up. It came off a car that had this set up in japan, the ecu is clearly marked for a K1, the only real difference is the engine its going through. Anyway im going to put the blitz actuator on and plumb in the hi/lo, im hoping this will calm it down, like when you take the hi/lo off a ct9 it increases boost, maybe this will decrease it putting it back in. I was also thinking maybe the ECU talks to the standard boost controller, like somethin -

There is no way im porting it, it wasnt cheap either so dont plan on breaking it. I could get it mapped etc but i wanted to do this on a budget and do it all with bolt on mods. Tomorrow im going to stick the actautor it came with on, its has outlets for hi/lo so ill plug all that in and see what it does. -

Its set so low to try and combat the creep, if i set it higher it just creeps sooner. Standard internals will handle a bar but they wont when its creeping to 1.2. I really dont want to piss about restricting airflow when im on a hybrid seems stupid -
If so do you suffer from immense boost creep? Fitted mine today and tbh its shite. My actuator is set at .5 bar, upto 5000rpm it creeps to .7, can deal with the and would adjust my actuator to creep to a bar BUT come 5000rpm it goes metal and within the space of 1000rpm im at 1.2 bar, not what i want to be slamming through standard internals. Its just wait wait wait, 1 bar for a split second them i changing gear. I did notice when fitting, the exhaust side looks identical to a ct9 same size wastegate/wastegate flap and exhaust blade size. Is this just Blitz being crap and not realising its g

You still get CAT 1 status with a turbo timer if its built into the alarm. It looses its CAT 1 status if its an aftermarket turbo timer thats not part of the alarm system. Or so the alarm people told me when doing mine.

Standard Air Box Vs Open Filter
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Would it still not make a load of noise though? -
Im due to get my new turbo set up soon but im stuck with a dilema. Do I keep the standard air box with uprated pannel filter or get a front mounted air filter set up? Basically I hate the noise my car makes with a open filter so would prefer to keep the air box set up so i cant hear all the sucking. BUT how much power, bhp and torque, will I be sacrificing for my quiet ride? Any input apriciated, or is there i way i can front mount a filter and it be quiet? Ive only tried open filter on efi and mesh on turbo. Both felt slower anyway and made the sucking noise. New set up will be Blitz K

Smoke From The Exhaust-burning Oil...turbo?
DavidAshton replied to dj-jon-boi's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Haha mine is doing the same too, is it this time of year or something? -
Think i paid £400 including fitting at my home. Only thing i wish i had got and would get if i were buying one again is that thing that winds your windows up for you. Im forever turning the car off locking the wheel getting out and realising i have left the window down. Hate having to turn all the ignition on and mess about putting it back up.

Ive got a viper 480xv with built in turbo timer so I can fully arm the alarm with the turbo timer still running. They had to take my aftermarket turbo timer out as it wouldnt work with the alarm. I also got proximity sensors installed too so it goes mental if anyone even goes near my car. Has full CAT1 status and the best bit is it has a digital screen reciever thing so i know if anyone goes near the car exactly where they are also shows me ive locked the car so when i tweak out and think ive left it unlocked i just check the reciever and it tells me she is all armed and locked up. It wasnt ch

Help My Car Has Started Smoking?
DavidAshton replied to DavidAshton's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
@Glanza_cl did exactly what you said, out warmed her up idle the revs no smoke at all. @WallaceGlanza my breather is plumbed into my efi pipe which also has a nice layer of oil in it now. @starlybruiser this is EXACTLY what mine is doing, im always in traffic when it happens so can never get the car to a place i can check it properly. Also since i de catted mine it stinks of fuel. In conclusion it sound like the turbo yeah? -
Help My Car Has Started Smoking?

Means shit to me? -
Ive tried nicotine patches but that didnt help, All joking aside I think the bitch is on here last legs in some department but dont know where to start. Done a bit of research and im hoping its just the turbo thats shat itself. But it doesnt smoke when i think it should if it were the turbo. It smokes when say ive been out for 10 - 15 mins ive then turned the car off for 5 mins while ive nipped into the shop or what ever then gone back out in the car then it smokes, its mainly when traveling at slow speeds/in traffic and only does it for a minuite or so. Its a blueish smoke and stinks like

Cheers mate, puts my mind at rest
-
yeah ive checked and double checked and checked again all the pipework seems secure and i cant see how it can leak ive never been in a car with a fmic so wasnt expecting any noise thats all...
-
Fitted my fmic this weekend and now i have a new noise and cant decide if its normal or a boost leak? Its a really fine whooshing noise, almost like a leaking bov but a bit finer, its not the bov because ive swapped that, now is it just the turbo i can hear more, or the air wooshing through the pipes or a boost leak? ive always run a standard air box, due to boost creep issues so i know its not an iduction noise, boost has not dropped either its just doesnt creep as much and lets me run an open filter now. Any help really apricaiated, its driving me mad.
