Actually i might be talking bollocks, i cant remeber why i think there height adjustable, either way 40mm springs on koin's sit way lower the 40mm springs on standard shocks
-
Koni's are height adjustable, you can alter how low the spring sits down the shock.
-
You forgot to mention your on the bottom setting of koni adjustable shocks so your way lower than 40mm

Yeah im going to put my first ct9 on saturday as that smokes the least out of the 3 and get the K1's seals done whilst its off. Im going to clean ou the oil feed / return as ive been told if this gets blocked it can raise pressure in the bine pushing the seals out. But to be honest i think ive just been unlucky.
-
Yeah it blue and im certain it the turbo as i can see oil seeping out between the outlet and fmic pipe, its the same that happend on my first ct9, the smoke went for a while after i fitted the K1.
-
As i said before it was very cheap but defo lesson learned, its such a ball ache swapping the turbo again. Im going to put my first ct9 on that came with the car, that smokes but only now and again and a lot less compared to the other two. Then im going to get the K1 sorted so i will get there in the end lol.
-
Cheers, there was a slight oil flim in the outlet pipe before i fitted it made me think it may be a shitter. It was very cheap this bine and for all i know the guy i got it off could have run with a cat which hides all the smoke anyway. Do it cheap do it twice. Correct in this case.

stadard ct9 inlet is 39mm iirc, so 40mm - 45mm will clamp onto the turbo inlet, just get an elbow and chop it to whatever length you need.
-
Fitted my 3rd turbo today due to the other two being smokers, was told this one didnt smoke. Fitting went well nice and easy no troubles just forgot to tighten one very important bolt. The big 19mm oil feed bolt. Cranked the car for a few seconds with the efi fuse out to hopefuly put some oil in the bine. Started the car for maybe 10 seconds before i realised it was pissing oil everywhere, rather confised rushed to turn the fucker off, then realised i didnt remeber tightening that bolt. Could this have killed the turbo as it smokes now as soon as the car is warm and and i let it idle, way

Nahhhh skateboarding ftw This was quite a bit back now, dont have long hair n that no more.

Looking at your engine spec your not even tickling the standard block, why not abuse that for a bit first? 1.2 bar on a td04 isn't slow, infact 1.2 bar on a hybrid is pretty damn quick.
-
I really wouldnt go HDI, some peoples bumpers are super butchered to get em in. Im using autobahn which is basically same as japspeed, no complaints at all, didnt have to touch the front bumper at all. Ok the piping is long but, stopped my creep issues when i was running my ct9.
-
What bout now? imgeshack never works so put it on photobucket now.

Fine again by me, although looks like ill be on a ct9 not the K1, wank.

On a side note I just though i remeber seeing the shocks in the optional extras book, had a look what springs they were supplied with and all i can see is some yellow ones, cant think of a yellow brand to be honest.
-
My springs seem to work pefect with the TRD shock but unfortunatly the have no markings on them at all, there just a dark navy blue, there are defo a 40mm drop not 35mm like you have atm. If i was you id try and find some 40mm TRD springs im certain they would match the shocks. If you ever want to sell a rear shock let me know lol, im never going to find a replacement for the one i burst.
-
TRD shocks soft???????? Mine were harsh as feck. Unforunatly I burst a rear so using standard shocks on the back now that is soft!!! You sure the shocks are in tip top condition?

Craig dont be a pussy, put your name down for power run.
