  1. Mine used to do the same when it was hot weather and I was stuck in traffic. I put it down to heatsoak affecting the IAT sensor so it was reading much higher air temps and fuelling accordingly. There was nothing else I could find that caused the problem and come the colder weather it didn't seem too prominent so I wasn't bothered.

  4. OK, so having faced a very large vet bill, spending over a grand on my daily and having my gt sat outside refusing to start, I need some funds so am selling the following: Emanage ultimate Complete with EP82 loom, map sensor, AFR sensor lead, commissioning lead and tuning software. The loom is bit of a mess but worked fine on my gt. It has a map on it but I can supply the original map for a td04 that came on it when I bought the emu or would suggest that a baseman is acquired and uploaded. Price £300 - cash on collection from Worthing or postage at cost with PayPal
  5. Having looked at the timing of 4efte to try and diagnose a problem I have, should not the Crank be lined up with the 10° mark at the start, not 0? Also were the diagnostic pins bridged? I'm by no means an expert so worth checking on the Crank marking but this is what I have understood...
  6. That's a fair point, I had considered electrical and mechanical issues but not electronic so hadn't checked for codes. I did check over the plugs and all were wet with fuel so unless they've all got stuck open I would probably discount an injector fault. After spending over 2 hours standing around in what can only be called a blizzard I had given up for today, but will aim to check for codes tomorrow. Cheers
  7. OK all, need some help on this one... Couldn't start the GT last night and after a couple of minutes trying gave up as it was dark and late. Have looked at it again this morning and after several cranking attempts it still wouldn't start. Checked the plugs and they were soaking wet so suspected no spark. Quick check with a strobe though and the ignition is definitely firing. With my head under the bonnet I though it smelt really strong of fuel but there were no signs of leakage. This prompted me to notice that the eighth of the tank that I had left when I last use
  8. I have some 330cc injectors somewhere in my boxes of car stuff, would probably benefit from clean and flow test but if you're interested drop me a pm

Hi mate, I'll have my emu surplus to requirements once my me221 arrives, if you're interested drop me a pm.
  10. Hi mate I'm no expert by far but having seen your compression results I would hazard a guess that your ringlands have gone on cylinder 1 which would mean time for a rebuild... What colour were your plugs when you took them out?
  11. Top bloke, sold me a turbo which arrived well packaged, great communication and went the extra mile to sort out a query that I had on it. Wouldn't have a problem with buying from again.
  12. Ok, so results are in... All four cylinders are measuring on or around 150psi at wot. Seem to recall minimum is 140psi, is that right? Did notice a difference in plugs though, 1 to 3 were darkish with a metallic sheen (sign of det?) but 4 was light so running a little lean... I've not long fitted a race spec inlet, could this cause a cycliner to run leaner than the others or is it more likely an injector issue... Still not sure cause of the oil mist from the breather either...
  13. Ok, a bit of a noob question I'm afraid but is it still possible to end up with busted ringlands with forged pistons? Bought the car a couple of years back and told it was forged with receipts for forged pistons and rods, and a signed letter from the guy that supposedly fitted them. Been running a td04 19t at 1.5 bar with little issue but recently it seems my emanage ultimate has gone a little screwy running either rich or lean on idle and part load. Now I have noticed the idle and fast idle held at 2.5k has an obvious misfire and I've started seeing oil spray around the breather after a ru
  14. Looking for a cheap VF35, will be getting it rebuilt with a billet wheel so condition not critical as long as compressor and exhaust housings are ok. Anyone got one about? Thanks
  15. So I've had my GeForce 2 ebc installed and setup for a year or so, all running well until the other day. I had originally turned the boost down so I could remap at a lower boost level then slowly turn up whilst remapping each time. Having mapped at 0.8bar I was slowly increasing duty aiming for 1 bar but before i got there it started constantly overboosting. Changed all settings back down but no better. I pulled over to check all hoses just in case I had popped one off but all looked fine so turned off ignition then started again and off I drove. Now the car won't boost any higher than
  16. So I've got an aftermarket manifold and throttle body fitted but I'm having trouble setting up the tps as there is slight play as the spigot is slightly smaller than standard. Given I'm running an emanage ultimate, would it be possible to remove the tps and map out any fuelling problems? The car idles fine but revs hunt when holding it at 2k and the car gets a bit jerky when coasting down sometimes at zero throttle which I think are all related to the tps adjustment.
  17. I ran into problems setting mine up also, turns out the drivers only work on 32 bit operating systems so if your running 64 bit then this might be your problem
  18. Just had a similar thing with my gt, turned out to be a blocked bleed nipple.
  19. Are you sure there's not a leak in the controller vac pipework somewhere? Surely if you have a 14psi actuator then the no matter what the boost controller is set to the minimum boost would always be 14psi.
  20. Hello mate, yeah, been lurking round the forum a couple of years. My GT seems to spend more time parked up than driven at the moment so I'm not really out and about in it much, hopefully more so this summer though ☺
