-
Which side is it? Timing pulley side or distributor side? It could just be the seal siting wrong as they can be a bit awkward Gary
-
Well it says that they can be supplied at 0.25mm and 0.55mm so maybe best contacting the seller to make sure he has the right size for you engine before ordering Gary
-
They are undersized bearings, have you had the crank reground atol? if so the machine shop will tell you what size you need Gary
-
Measured one today, 10mm by 1.25 thread pitch just incase you are getting them elsewhere, rather than toyota Gary

Bottom Left Manifold Nut! What A B*****d
ToyotaTech15 replied to Carl.'s topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i find it easier with the power steering pump off, also probably easier to take the turbo and manifold off as one rather than splitting Gary -
Has the boost restriction been removed? Any mods on the car? I take it your running a boost gauge? Gary
-
toyota don't use 9mm it will either be 8mm or 10mm Gary
-
Pretty sure it's 10mm studs and nuts from the head to manifold, I take it it's exhaust. Not sure the thread pitch thou, might be 1.75 but don't quote me on that Gary
-
No problem mate let me know Gary
-
Yeh mate I just bought one for my rebuild, Pm me for any parts dude I'll sort you out Gary
-
If you are in need of gaskets and parts give me a shout, I can get a gasket kit for the whole engine for around £90 Plus discounts on other parts Gary
-
How bad us the corrosion? Have you got any pictures Depending on how bad it was iwould just get a rubbing block and emery cloth and rub it off yourself, Be much cheaper and easier than engine shop prices. Obviously if it's really bad it may need some skimming but if you do it with emery cloth the gaskets will take up any imperfection on the flange face Gary
-
in my experience they are usually very tight if never been off, might be lucky thou Gary
-
to get the cam pulley bot out just take off the rocker cover off and lock the camshaft on the nut like part with a 24mm spanner i think or an adjustable wrench to hold it from turning and crack the nut *edit* thread is normal, same as the rest of the thread direction on the car Gary
-
Aye lol, hopefully will be ready in time Also topic moved Gary
-
I may be interested depending how far up lol, and when as i cant roll my shell there It would be good to go for a drive somwhere maybe rather than just a meet Gary
-
yeh sounds fine think it may be to much adding more categories Gary
-
Its a gasket mate, if you mean decat to centre section Exhaust paste wouldnt do any harm, it would aid with sealling it if any, i would stick some on if i were you Gary
-
im 100% coming, im not putting all this time into my car to be a no show at a rolling road day THis will be the first run to see what power my new engine will be making Gary
-
It will fail if you have no power steering but still have the power rack fitted, You will need to change to a non-power steering rack if you want to pass that way Gary
