Thanks Rob. Horrible looking, never seen that kind of. Perhaps have to do own better looking, same time when I saw roof open. Maybe weld some nuts, then it would be easy just bolt rack mountings. Or maybe do long "solid" roofbars, like have seen on some rare P8 opentop models.

What kind of roof rack mountings are available for 3dr Starlet, door place isn't problem, but rear sideglass upper place is. What type mounting to search, can I use P8/9 roof racks somehow on my P7? Very hard to find proper system, 4dr is too easy. One way is do own rack system and make custom attacment by drilling throw roof side. Going to amputate roof windshield trims away and same time could do Hiace style mountings. Could also do very low profile system, if using this box or something. If towing hitch plans fails, then I could carry few bikes on top of roof. Not going any trash bin VW style roof shit...

Does anybody have towing hitch on P7 Starlet, any pictures or links? Maybe gona do own hitch to my small bumper EP70 and curious to see if there was some available earlier, propably not found anymore. Intrested to see also P8/P9 towing hitches, how those are bolted to body and where the center support is, or is there any? Sparewheel box is same shape in all versions, and maybe floor also. With bigger bumper it's easier to hide hitch, not not so easy on P7 :/ Wanna tow my Sprite Cadet some day and carry few bikes. My car is allowed to tow 400kg without brakes and 800kg with brakes.

Welded full frame with 2cm cap, so horrible job doing without crane on the floor, my neck and poor face, no mask :/ Paint burned in cabin side, more painting.

Nuts first welded to plate and then plate to body, finnish one part seat don't have factory place for hinge, found some german 1.3L S seats.

Made new mount for separated seat hinge.

Same time few extra welding, so poor welded floorparts that I put few dots before painting. Fuck that can't do bigger renovation at once, have to use car for driving work :/

Have to weld end of the floor corners, found little rust. Must do this before installing gastank and paint backseat under floor. Maybe I do some center mudflap mountings, Saab style. Man should be installing newer engine, but shit can't allowed, making car for decades.
