bit of an update on the girlfriend front. Simply change the exhaust housing for another ct9b exhaust housing and voila......new wastegate! I don't think they bore out the exhaust blades do they? I bloody hope not! lol Joe

Haha just taken the exhaust cover off the turbo and seen that it has a massive crack running up the wastegate, think this might be the problem! Thanks for the reply mate. Joe

I bought my "hybrid" turbo in the summer last year from a company called 'Power-GT' in Gravesend (I think they said they bought it from turbo-dynamics or turbo-technics, one of the two but i'm only 80% sure) and power-gt have now gone bust so i cant ask them! However recently I bought a boost gauge and found out I was only running 6psi, so a mate tried to set up a bleed valve to run 10+ psi on it. No matter what I did I couldnt get the bastard to boost more than about 8psi and it would drop through the revs to about 4psi! The bloke at a performance garage disconnected all the solenoid and pipes from the actuator to run endless boost and it didn't exceed 9 psi! (We were all confused at this point). Anyway, recently I decided to take it off and have a borrowed standard ct9 put in its place until I get it sorted. I have taken some pics for you to look at as I would quite like to find out who made this turbo because turbo-dynamics and turbo-technics both said they have never delivered to a power-gt in Gravesend! Sorry for the essay, here are the pictures: Does anyone recognise anything about this turbo? To me it looks pretty much standard , which is a part of the reason why I'm so pissed off. just thought id let ya know i got it done, took about 4 hours tho! had a few complications. Ended up taking off decat bottom section and dropping turbo etc. cheers for the advice anyway guys Joe
