Ive recently noticed that when I pull away in 1st gear or in reverse, when the clutch hits the biting point it sometimes makes a funny whining noise and the clutch pedal feels like its vibrating a little, what could this be??? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks Joe

Just thought I'd do first update of 2009! Nothing really new on the car but the hybrid was loosing boost due to a huuuuge crack in the wastegate! After finding out where the turbo came from (it was ordered for me from another company) I found out it had 12 months warranty on it, so i sent it off to get repaired. Just received it today and thought I'd chuck up a few pics as they sprayed it and it now looks pristine, dont even wanna put it on the car, lol! Congrats man looks very clean always had a soft spot for clean black v's, as for what to do next I think lowering it on either coilovers or shocks and springs would make it look even smarter. As for the problem of over boosting, you could try getting a hks actuator and set it at 11-12psi just below fuel cut mate, hope this helps. Joe

Deffo not fuel cut. Oh yeah forgot to say, the boost cuts even on low boost! (about 7psi)

After borrowing my mates spare turbo, I decided to give it a good test to see what condition its in. After the turbo stays on full boost (10psi) for a couple of seconds the turbo completely cuts out and the boost just dies, sounding like its trying to spool but something is stopping it. It's most apparent in gears 1 and 2. I have no idea of what could be causing this. My mods are catback exhaust, de-cat, mushroom style filter, and a forge dump valve. Can anyone shed any light at all??? Thanks Joe
