  1. Lightweight rear disc Custom machined front discs
  2. Well while I finish the wiring I have stripped the interior , dash , heater ect out of new shell . To keep as I remove all sound deadining and weld in cage mounts. I will be swapping in my complete reduced wiring loom once this has been done and painted. Not much pics of recent progress so here is some of custom brakes I am using. All machine work is done by a friend and will be using kad mini rear calipers with pitbike rear discs. Front are original discs machined for weight and will have custom mounts for wilwood caliper. Should save 6kg from original front brake setup and closer to 10kg fro
  3. Cheers I hope so Unfortunately I have to keep all seats door cards and glass . The only thing inside I can lose is carpet . I have also added 30kg with the cage which doesn't help. But thankfully most of the competitors cars are over 900kg
  4. The last 4/5 nights have been busy thinning out the original wiring loom to the bare essentials. Which has meant removal of all abs , airbag , electric mirrors , radio , reverse lights , rear wiper wiring ect. The multiplugs have all been unpinned as I couldn't live with pins being unused lol. This is all in aid of trying to keep the car as light as possible within our rules. My Target of 800kg should be doable ! I hope
  5. This is the 3rd reincarnation of this build , to cut along story short . I stared building an ep82 into a hillclimb car then decided they were getting rare and harder to source parts (as I like a barrier or 2). So bought a black ep91 which came with a quaife lsd box , paddle clutch and lightened flywheel along with bc coilovers. I stripped the shell bare to prep it as I'm fussy which is when this latest shell came up all fully painted at a price I couldn't resist ! Needless to say I have a few spares !!!! Engine currently looks like this waiting for its new home Then this is so
  6. I'm sure it was a ct12b I then got Midland turbos to refresh it weld up internal wastegate and fit billet compressor wheel
  7. cheers i do but struggling to upload them for some reason
  8. Thought I would start a progress thread on my latest project which I've been at a year already Which has snowballed a lot from the beginning. Basically trying to build a competitive hillclimb sprint car to compete in the road car class Up to 2 litre (which the starlet ends up in with the turbo multiplier factor). My objective is to build as light and as little lag as possible car no crazy overall hp goals. So as close to 800kg and around 220-230bhp is what I need to beat the main competitors with clio 182's Spec so far is Fully refreshed standard engine Ct9/ct12 hybri

Anybody got info on fitting one and replacing brake servo? As I'm just away to be fitting up a new brake setup for my build
  10. Hi just wondering if anyone has a good source of a ep91 bonnet or tailgate in carbon or frp as I'm struggling to find any cheers
  11. Any more news on this ? As I also need to replace mine 😯
  12. Looks really solid need to do this to mine 😕 keep the pics coming
  13. Nice sounds like just what I'm after ! If the lad with the hybrid doesn't get back to me was also looking at racetechs stage 3 ct9 hybrid suposibly good for 250bhp?
  14. Great info cheers What like is the spool with that setup ? I'm waiting to hear back about a ct12 hybrid with ct9 exhaust housing in presuming that's the same ? I'm all about the spool 😆
  15. Hi Phil Aye it's not common in our class to use smaller wheels on the rear but the modified saloon class it's more common. The main reasons for this is : 1. Lighter and cheaper tyres 2. Lighter and cheaper wheels There has been a small bit of progress with parts arriving including my wepr ram horn ct9 top mount 😍 along with a dizzy blank . Must say the quality of the parts didn't disapoint almost a shame to fit them. Also I purchased a complete gearbox with kaaz limited slip diff which I will be building into one of my spare boxes . Now contemplating a charger cooler instead of the f
  16. Aye your not wrong there's not much you can remove but all the little things add up 😆 Too start carpets getting ditched , sound deadining , alloy wheels 15x7 front and 13x7 rear for more weight saving , lithium ion battery 1kg compared to 7kg , willwood front calipers for more savings and carbonfibre centre silencer with side exit are just a few of my weight saving ideas time will tell
  17. No mucking about great progress so far 👍I will be interested to see your coil on plug setup which coils you using honda ? As I'm also going standalone with cop but using distributor pickups for ecu
  18. Cheers guys 😆 I have been slowly collecting bits over the last few months including a spare rolling shell as I've been known to push beyond my limits ..... The first car which I will be using came with a heap of spares including a spare engine 3 gearboxes 1 off which being an lsd box. Carbon bonnet , half size radiator , bucket seats , lightened flywheel , upgraded clutch and a few boxes full of things. So gave me a good start and as one will find over the course of the build im a bit obsessed with weight .com/user/mike090184/media/Starlet%20ep82/20160905_195013.jpg.html] Oh also
  19. Hello and welcome to my progress thread on which will hopefully become my new hillclimb sprint car over the winter. I am planning on using in the Scottish hillclimb sprint championship upto 2 litre road car class. Anyway the basis of the project will be a mark1 gt turbo 😆 The main plan is to use a small ct9 / ct12 hybrid turbo for as little lag as possible for our twisty tracks hopefully combined with its light weight , should give me a chance against all the clio's. ...
