  2. Welcome to the site mate
  3. They are just the inner joints
  4. As above, drain the tank completely, remove fuel filter, crank the engine over lots to pump it out, remove rail and injectors and drain. Then refill with petrol, pump it through to filter, renew filter, pump it through to rail, put rest on and keep fingers crossed. Will smoke for a while but you may be ok
  5. Have a good one Bill!!
  6. I would go with Teins as already mentioned, PI are nasty
  7. What springs are you after mate?
  8. Not dissing them at all Jay and I must say yours looks peachy. I reckon we could get 350bhp from a 4e which is more than enough for a road car, in fact 270 is a nice road figure
  9. We had another blinding day at AFR today with Matt and Paul. Sorted the few problems we had the other day and we finished up with 438.8bhp @ 1.8 bar. At this point the intercooler pipes were restricting any more boost, so next step is custom pipe work, more boost and maybe 500bhp Many thanks to Matt and Paul at AFR for all their awesome work in getting the car this far and of course to Darren for all his hard work that is certainly starting to pay off. Anyone thinking of any mapping work these guys come highly recommended, thoroughly knowledgeable, fairly priced and no BS
  10. Spent most of the day yesterday at AFR Tuning in Crawley having the Starlet mapped. I would just like to say what a thoroughly helpful and talented team they are. Matt Hosier mapped our car and is was obvious from the start that he has a real passion for his job and is extremely knowledgeable. He started by adjusting all the part throttle maps and it was obvious from the monitoring screen that he was not happy with the original maps. After quite some time he started a few tentative power runs quickly reaching over 250bhp at 0.7 bar. Raising the boost to 1 bar found the car spinning in the rollers and they had to continue in 5th gear, giving a lower figure. Soon he had over 300bhp at 1.2bar and reached over 350 at 1.5 bar. When I asked Matt how it was going he said he hadn't done a proper power run yet! Unfortunately the car then suffered from an inlet leak somewhere, which was not immediately obvious. We decided to take the car back to the workshop, as Matt's workload was hectic to say the least. We stripped the car last night to find a hairline crack in the weld on the inlet manifold. This is being repaired today and we will return to AFR hopefully on Friday to crack the 400bhp mark. Our thanks go out to Matt Hosier and Paul Austin for all their hard work. We will be talking to Matt on Friday to arrange all our mapping to be done at AFR. It may be a 110 mile trip but its well worth it. Anyone considering any ECU work, try these people, you won't be disappointe.
  11. Have them in stock if it helps
  12. Hired a local test track today to shake down the starlet and get a few miles on it before mapping. The day went well, no problems and feels quite brisk Few pics for you Shonky BBQ Darrens M3
