correct.. read somewere that it was about 5bhp increase on a rolling road with it fitted to a standard starlet. defo worth while to get one tho if u can mate.. changes how the car performs. feels asmatic without it. but plenty of cold air wouldnt go a miss either!

how do you do that lol? its had a new set of plugs recently... some platinum ones. would they have caused it? same ones that where in mine as well.

lol tell me about it. rite well basicaly ive been waiting on a disk for about 5 weeks now from japan, which has all wiring diagrams for a starlet on it, interior and engine. but it now apears that our little japanese friends may have been a bit imaginative about its existence... so may not be apearing in the uk at all now. so im at another standstill. at the end of the day its only wiring so shouldnt be that hard i dont think... but still, too hard for my brain to compute soo... will see what te next few days bring. i have got to a point where im too frustrated to even attempt anything myse

hi all just before i took my NA engine out to replace with the fte, it made a weird rattle in lowish revs, around 2-3k. say u was in gear 3/4 doing 30 mph, then put ure foot down to the floor, it rattled until revs pic up. but if u drive car hard through all gears it doesnt do it?!! its defo not a knocking sound.. recently the other starlet ive got me hands on, its doing same. has 65k on clock, full service history, runs fine no problems, but has started to do this rattle. any ideas??? in comparison, when the vvti went on my s14, it made a very similar rattle. it was just the spring that nee

pretty much what he said. people have also mentioned the 7EFE throttle body, found on a 1.8 celica ST. used to have this car but not at same time as starlet so cant remember the differences or anything lol

looks mean on those wheels. i would get rid of the auto asap tho lol! not so bad on big and powerful motors but not a little starlet!

agreed.. if its only come about after the fitting of the actuator, it may well be somthing you have not put back on properly, or knocked while working on it ect... or it could be somthing totaly unrelated! thats the "fun" of working on cars whats mileage ect on engine and condition? totaly looked after all its life? or hammered with 15 different owners? welcome by the way lol

WIRING UPDATE.... rite realy am geting so wound up now. car has been sat untouched for almost 2 weeks, everything bar 1 or 2 little things is ready to go, or being held up by the wiring. im waiting for a disk that all the diagrams i would need are on, off this company, and its taking ages to arrive. there is nothing more frustrating rite now, paying out for insurance x2 and seeing this beast so close yet so far from completion... also.. stuck a nice little addition on the rear end.. hopefully it will live up to it ! will get a pic later if possible..

after a set of alloys for the other starlet, and seen a few different designs of speedlines i like. wheres best place to get them from? checked ebay out and theres not realy anything on there... Jay oh and also, the rim width like 6.5j for example, is that just the diametre of the rim in inches?

think it mite be somthing about working on starlet engines that sends me wappy.....
