Toyo T1-R Proxes vs Yokohama Parada Spec 2 vs other recommendations
shorty replied to P44YNE's topic in Alignment & Alloys
Proxes are shite never run a tyoy that hasnt let go waaay more than you want in the wet just not a fan of em any more atal tbh. good life sapn ish and thats about it. yoko all the way! Prada are awesome in dry good and prdictable in the wet life span isnt bad abd mitsi fit as standard on the evo so enough said realy lol. I've had many different tyres over the years as a mate owns a tyre shop so we like to mix it up but always come back to yoko as they are just the greatest imo -

Lol and yea i know more than 300 has gone though them before but i still wonder how long the system will actualy take it for? dont know if gaz ever confirmed howmuch power his ran and for how long for. so still realitivly unknown as to the actual capability of the 4wd sytem.

It will be honey dont worry. just need to finish shimming the cams the time in the engine, port match my custom inlet mani. drop the lum back in. sort the tps to work off the oem gt ecu. Get it to grants workshop for him to fab the custom exhuast system, wire in some guages. visit jdmodified for a road map then boom* good to roll and rip up as much track action as i can! *note: thats boom not bang i hope haha! With beans latest rr result i cant forsee there being any issues with the 4wd system taking 300+ ;)

They are good in a 4wd style enviroment tbh as i took mine greenlaning alot with turbo_grant. was wicked fun but i would say check the insurance first. as if its insured properly then they arnt actualy very cheap to insure as they are a rare import of unknown background to an insurer and then chuck in an engine conversion amd the fact that premium increase on a modified car is based on how much power over standard you have raised it by oem 4paw s model is 100hp so just an engine transplant is a 33hp gain straght away. not so cheap as youd think to insure. Dont get me wrong i dont want to pu

My Boost is all over the shop, whats causing this?
shorty replied to Taggy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Ah makes more sense lol so around 210fly. sounds more like it ;) bin off the forge and see how oem with ebc goes dude -
I loved both my v's and also my ep85. It all depends what your after tbh as the short ratio box anoyes the shit out of me! It revs its tits off at 80mph in 5th yes you could change all the ratios but its an expensive mod and isnt as simple as people think (you cant just bug gt gears in) my 4paw is a track car basicaly its not realy a parctical daily if you use motorways much. id settle for my v back if i was after a usable reliable(ish) fast car but as im an old man i am luckiy enough to have silly cheap insurace so have an import pop to the shops car, a 4paw track car and a works van lol

shorty replied to Taggy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I've always found forge gear to be expensive and naff tbh. id run oem actuator and a decent ebc as they help to stabalise boost anyway bud. id also check for any minor boost leaks as at 1bar id of expected abit more than 170hp mate. -
I love WEPR and as sacha knows I've run various setups over the years only once did i not use his kit and after that time I've never gone else where. his service is fantastic and his manifolds are faultless imo. his results and time in the starlet scene speak for themselves. there is no substitute for WEPR! Rickys gear looks awesome and i have personly never used it i have only ever heard good things but due to the lack of issues and faultless service i can honestly say its WEPR every time for me now. in all honesty i think more than anything it will boil down to personal preferance and of cor
