defo check for moisture in the dizzy, give it a good dry out with a cloth and also spray some wd40 in there as its a water dispersant.

Check all the timing is spot on, just a tad out and they run like shit during mapping ;) so line up all marks get a timing light on it too!

not quite yet dude lol, you will defo be having one when shes done. more of an update, well snapped a bloody bolt on the cylinder head so that needs tapping and maybe a helicoil put in but ill do that monday/tuesday, also whent to rotate the vf24 and the bloody backplate is cracked, is a common issue with them but may have a spare on the way and have a back uptd05 if all else fails. still need the fmic and pipes powdercoated but not a huge amount left to do tbh, now just fit the turbo kit, and twinpots, time her back in add some little finishes etc few lil snaps, (camra phone sorry) test fit

I had a 1 litre mini n dropped a a+ metro 1275 engine in boared out to 1330 n was cheaper to insure than a 1275 cooper because its a metro engine haha awesome cars and quick as fook. Defo post a pic of what you get just because you don't have a starlet doesn't mean you need to join any other forum we have knowllage of most motors and any thing with an engine is welcome!

I take my hat off to you lad, nice to see it sank in. I had a 1.0 mini for my first car. Handled like a go cart and with some light tuning out done anything off the line, quick enough to make the odd over excited mistake in, easy to drive enough to correct them in. Damn good car, and after a few years had a 1330cc 130hp na race tuned engine in it, was a weapon and one I miss. Best of all cost sod all to insure. I passed my test in the instructors fiesta I learned to drive in my mini work hard pay for it honestley and it feels so much more deserved. Good luck bud. We will see you in a v when y

bllody hell steve its fooked!! and pm riko666 he will be able to give ya a good idea of the value of the wastegate, like i said to ya on phone its either a blitz or sard so worth good money. may be better on ebay though as most jdm cars use 4stud wastegates where as we tend to use tial 2 stud.

id say maybe the rings bud, thb if it was me id of reboared by .5mm and added forged pistons just to get a good seal. it could also be as mentioned above oil in the exhuast. try a wet compression test bud, warm the engine to norm temps and then drop a tiny bit of oil down the boar before sticking the compression tester in then run the test and come back to us

At what point did I say a standard engine can't cope with td04 at 1bar? Td04 doesn't come to life till 1.2-1.4, wind it to 1.4 bar and tell me you didn't need a forged engine when you choclate glanza v conrod flys through the block. You have missed the whole point. Both setups on unforged engines will run 200-220hp and the ct9 is smaller so will boost quicker, its a fact I don't care if people don't agree, smaller turbos boost quicker it can't be argued with. A tongs gt spec or better still td12 hybrid kick like a beast and will give exellent power and give td04 starlets a damn good run. I'm s

personaly no, but can run 330 depending on the mapper, look at dastek too bud. speak to dave a tm developments the dastek has a silly amount of features in comparison to the e manage range, again i may get shot down for it but figures speak for them selfs and many mappers i speak with refuse to map emanage gear as they think there are far better options ;) dave is a good guy to speak to and has far more experience than most in the starlet world ;) im only a pm away when you fit the gear bud i do all the work on my car myself with a few mates so we have been there and done it with most mods and

very, if you look at the back of the compressor housing is a huge cir-clip, release it and remove the compressor housing carefully with a rubber mallet to ease it off if needed then rotate push firmly into place and replace the clip ;) you wont be disapointed with the powerup kit dude, and tongs gt hybrids kick like a horse!! td04 is a good setup on a forged engine running bigger boost, till then i would change a ct9 hybrid starlet for any other setup ;) and I've had my fair share of setups in the 6 and a bit years of modded starlet ownership.
