  1. looking good dude, very interested to see what the vf35 makes im in the middle of fitting the vf24 but no idea what that will make either lol
  2. Don't need the added expense of a runaround dude, just take it easy till you can afford an athena one and some arp headbolts, you will stuggle to blow a hg then with out a doubt! And don't sell up its a rash choice that 98% regret. We have all felt how your felling with our starlets before and like sparky said when they are all running well its soooo worth the hassle.
  3. Oem or official toyota headbolts, athena 1.2mm headgasket, phone fensport n cancel the order, enzo or tmd will be quickest delivery, job done prob fixed. Don't but a uk 200sx they are wank! Couple of mates have em all they do is brake down and the cost a bomb on fuel!! Its a run of bad luck. There is a lot of sound advise on here mate if you listen to it you will be fine and the car will easily do daily drive at 1bar!! Stop gettin down n crack on, boost = smiles!!!!!! Starlets = WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Yep tis fine, like enzo said bud. If they are the ones dave sells I had a set fail too, tbf I was gunning it had a boost spicke and also turned out my hg was .5mm to small for my overboar. Like I say don't get me wrong I get most of my parts off dave its just the bolts wernt great. I now use arp and tbh id love tobsee them try amd fail, quality of them is far superior to anything else. You can drive it off boost and keep an eye on temps at all times, used mine for around a momth daily for my 6mile comute and when we had the head off was fine and hadn't warped atall and I had it reskimmed but the engineer said it didn't need it, I was just over cautious. You will soon learn with starlets if your tuning them you will normaly expose a new weak point due to the age of them. Now you see how I've managed to spend so much in the persuit of big power don't give up bud, head is a weekends work if your happy to do it bud. Would recomend an athena hg too as they are awesome quality!!
  5. Oem headbolts are wank especialy the ones dave sells if that's where you got em (dont get me wrong tm developments are awesome just not the headbolts) also are you not boosting .8 on td04? Wich is too high on stock fuling as you will run lean up the top of the revs!
  6. For quicker spool but simlar if not more power id say wepr's hybrid td04 or (maybe a tad more lag) but more power dave at tm developments td05 ball bearing turbo.
  7. Cheers dude, n is jacked on front drivers thats why, but she sits low on the tein's when she's down too tbh.
  8. Never ever used breakdown! If the car brakes I'm damn sure if i cant fix it they can't fix it with the kit the carry. And if it needs towing ill call a friend as that's what me n my mates are all like! We are all petrol heads and always happy to help eachother out
  9. defo check for moisture in the dizzy, give it a good dry out with a cloth and also spray some wd40 in there as its a water dispersant.
  10. boom! good work fella. BUILT NOT BOUGHT baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111!!1
  11. just paid for stand pass for: 52) ollie + track (mx5) so he is now fully paid up as his track session is in the early morn shootout with me n the others
  12. Check all the timing is spot on, just a tad out and they run like shit during mapping ;) so line up all marks get a timing light on it too!
  13. Difference from the mounts is unreal, you will love it steve! Good progress as always

Had a lil black wooden box containing jap chopsticks in the door bin, and full toyota service history in the glovebox when I imported mine ;)
  15. Lol @ dan, cheers john ;-)
  16. Cheers dude, my mate sumed it up when she said, "the duck spoiler on a v is like a wail tail on a cosworth, its just not right wothout one" she loves the twin spoilers n she used to have a nismo spec r33 gtr so she has good taste lol Cheers iddy, fits a dream too makes a nice differnce to the whole engine bay imo.
  17. not quite yet dude lol, you will defo be having one when shes done. more of an update, well snapped a bloody bolt on the cylinder head so that needs tapping and maybe a helicoil put in but ill do that monday/tuesday, also whent to rotate the vf24 and the bloody backplate is cracked, is a common issue with them but may have a spare on the way and have a back uptd05 if all else fails. still need the fmic and pipes powdercoated but not a huge amount left to do tbh, now just fit the turbo kit, and twinpots, time her back in add some little finishes etc few lil snaps, (camra phone sorry) test fit and taster of whats to come and dan dont hate me but.................. mmmmm origonal oem duck spoiler ;) had one on my last Vand i dont care who does or does not like em, i LOVE them!!
  18. had to japanese lads who walk down my road most days stop and tell me how nice they thought the glanza is when me and my mates where dropin the engine back in, was well chuffed for ages after. also had a guy flag me down on a cold morning to tell me there was smoke coming out the side of the car, lol showed him it was a front exit exhuast, he just laughed and appolagised for the mistake.
  19. Bout ten days too late iddy ;) may still be able to book another sesion though if you realy wanna be on track.
  20. Don't appolagise dude, your doing a top notch job organising it all, you can't control the track ticket sales for the whole show. Ill get my session filmed anyhow so us four early birds can been seen on the forum after the show. The shows all about the uksc stand being mahoosive not tracktime ;)
  21. ;) oh well, isn't your fault steve, least in means if I stack it no ones there to laugh lol, early for the win!!
  22. Not so sure as you would need the plugs too. Try bid.jdm.com is a yahoo jap auction bid service run by rhd. Shipping is pricey on bigger items so don't get magpie syndome n buy lots as there's shitloads on there for ep's. Is you best bet for the wiring bud, or try camskill who maybe able to do it as they are a greedy dealer but japland will be cheaper id of thought. If you need help with bidjdm then pm me dude n ill help you.
  23. carbon cruise would look lush ;) just hope dont see a flood of frp reps on loads of v's think id cry tbh
  24. I had a 1 litre mini n dropped a a+ metro 1275 engine in boared out to 1330 n was cheaper to insure than a 1275 cooper because its a metro engine haha awesome cars and quick as fook. Defo post a pic of what you get just because you don't have a starlet doesn't mean you need to join any other forum we have knowllage of most motors and any thing with an engine is welcome!
  25. I take my hat off to you lad, nice to see it sank in. I had a 1.0 mini for my first car. Handled like a go cart and with some light tuning out done anything off the line, quick enough to make the odd over excited mistake in, easy to drive enough to correct them in. Damn good car, and after a few years had a 1330cc 130hp na race tuned engine in it, was a weapon and one I miss. Best of all cost sod all to insure. I passed my test in the instructors fiesta I learned to drive in my mini work hard pay for it honestley and it feels so much more deserved. Good luck bud. We will see you in a v when your 21 and you will be happier knowing you did it the proper way.
