  1. It doesn't need to be mentioned that most Starlets have poor audio as standard, and I'm wanting a basic setup just so I can listen to music, I'm not looking for perfect quality nor do I want to shake the car to pieces with bass. (Also I want to keep it as lightweight as possible). A while ago I was given some car audio stuff, an old amplifier that looks like it hasn't ever been used, it's only a 160w, but it's tiny, weighs only 1.8kg and is almost small enough to fit in the glovebox! Anyway, what I want to know is would this setup be good enough aswell as giving a noticeable bit of bass: 160
  2. My guess is that it's because all they see on the streets are idiots with stupid spoilers or whatever and they did this whole thing as a piss take, they could have done so much with £10k.
  3. Yeah that annoyed me a bit but then again it's Top Gear they don't take anything seriously so that's expected of them lol and when he came out with that F1 spoiler for fuck sake... Oh I nearly forgot - did you get my PM's mate as you haven't replied I'm not sure if they sent or not.
  4. I could possibly come, don't put my name on the list just yet, google earth says it's an hour and half drive away... Plus I only have a few mods but still it would be interesting to find out what I'm at power wise.
  5. That little "drift" at the end was fucking great.
  6. You already have a decent number of mods, so I wouldn't worry too much. Might want to look at getting an OBX exhaust manifold too.
  7. Made me laugh how they had decent brakes, suspension, and tyres, but failed miserably on the spoiler/splitter.
  8. Fucking brilliant episode lol, V8 food blender and modding some shitty Renault.
  9. No you'd just have to get it set up with the throttle position sensor, I think the standard injectors should be good enough, and there's that air sensor that is in the standard airbox I don't know what you'll have to do with that, might be fine just to leave it. But basically aslong as the ECU knows how much fuel to add then it should be ok. I may be wrong though, you could need some sort of piggyback.
  10. Yes but width plays a part in it too
  11. I'm also going to try a well-modded 4EFE and see what I can get out of it, although I'm probably going to stick with the rolla mani, and a bigger TB, as it's much easier. You might want to look into cams and raising the rev limit, I believe a higher rev limit with longer duration cams would be great for the 4EFE.
  12. Yes, I'd rather have a Starlet than a stupid American bucket of crap.
  13. after that he says "what the fuck was that" again and it sounds funny as fuck
  14. There's a big big difference though, vag's are good, Dodge's on the other hand... are not.
  15. TPS = throttle position sensor I think. They would give a good gain in responsiveness and of course power if set up properly with sufficient fuelling.
  16. You might not get BIG power out of it but the 4EFE definately has potential.
  17. Cheers lads, WD40 it is then (for now atleast). No point going mad on it as it will most probably get mucky again with it being winter and everything. Will have to get some of that 3 in 1 or some Gunk once the bad weather buggers off though... fucking muddy puddles make everything a mess.
  18. You could go for an exhaust manifold, the OBX ones are available on ebay (for the 5EFE but fit the 4EFE). They're from the USA though so shipping may be expensive. Lightweight pulleys/flywheel are another option. Some sort of piggyback management? Oh and raising the rev limit could be a good idea, there's a guide on it somewhere but I always forget where it is lol someone will have it. With 4EFTE valve springs you can rev to 7500rpm. Let me know how you get on because I plan to do most of this stuff next year, would be nice to know what sort of figures you get with those mods.
