I have a brand new (still in the box) 4EFTE rotor arm for sale if you need it, I bought it thinking the 4EFE/4EFTE rotor arm/dizzy caps were the same but they aren't. Also have an NGK king lead as the 4EFE only needs the four leads.

It's 55mm. I only bought a reducer a couple of weeks ago and it is 55mm.

hahaha that's what you get for buying a hitlermobile

Nice! Love the colour. If it was me I would: -paint the GT badge on the front black so it stands out like it should -remove the sunstrip -different wheels (that's just me being fussy, you might like the wheels, I don't know) -fix up the lights; offside indicator bulb changed to a silver one, and possibly take all the lights off the front and give them a good clean other than that, I love it, the colour suits GT's so well and is a nice change from black/white/silver

It's 830kg AFAIK, the different figures mean different things obviously, like the 1020kg means the most weight it can carry... or something like that, I can't remember.

Another option would be to buy an auto Glanza on the cheap, and swap it to a manual box (you will need the ECU aswell I think). While the gearbox is being changed, you could use that time with the engine out to do any modifications to it without the restrictions and fiddlyness of it being in the engine bay.

Have a look on ebay mate, look for corollas breaking for spares or something like that, that's how I got mine and only ended up paying £25 including delivery. Also if you want to go that little bit extra I recommend replacing the airbox with an open filter, the only thing is the results from it will vary depending on how it is set up and things like that. As for the GT seats - how hard were they to fit?
-
You need a corolla manifold on there definately a worthwhile mod for any N/A Starlet. And I would say get the engine bay cleaned up but mine is just as bad

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1WK0i76Cz6U funny stuff, especially the one where they throw the barrel at him

Aslong as it works though, but it does seem to be the best one there for the price.

Yes check my topic for how my intake is setup http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....50&start=50 it has a bit of a whistle like you say on idle, and on WOT it's loud as fuck it's good fun when people are walking up the street or something and you give it a quick foot-to-the-floor and they wonder what the fuck is making the noise lol -
Do you work for the RSPCA or something?
-
lol for my sensor hole in the airpipe we didn't have a big enough drillbit so just used a smaller one and moved it around a bit until the hole was big enough no filing or nothing, just squeezed the rubber bung in = success
-
How did you fit the airbox in the end mate? Stretch the rubber pipe like you said?

Nice pics Joz, loving the last 3, the background is great. -
Not really a useful reply but a possibly good idea: If it needs a new engine and you've got the money for it you could always buy the 5EFTE that Bourkey is selling...
-
I'm not 100% sure but: At low revs/low boost the engine isn't making enough power to make the clutch slip, but as the power comes in at higher revs it slips something along those lines I should imagine
-
Almost forgot about this thread lol, and yes I thought about that, I think it would be a definate improvement if you were running some good longer duration cams, higher rev limit, and sufficient fuelling, then I think the 55mm TB could become restrictive, especially if you go and compare it to ITB's. Another thing, if you're just tootling along in 5th and floor it, you don't really go anywhere, whereas if you gently ease the pedal in, it picks up alot faster. I think you'd get a much worse version of this if you had the bigger throttle body without the longer duration cam and higher rev limit
-
Little update nothing special: Cam belt and alternator belt have been ordered from ToyTuning. Brake pads and shoes will be replaced soonish. I'm considering a rev gauge - I was looking at 52mm ones but decided it would be too small, so I think I'm going to go for this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/White-Gauge-Rev-Coun...%3A1|240%3A1318 Good choice or should I look at something else?
-
Agreed, except for the part about the rubbish german cars ;)

As far as I know the original mats are discontinued, I have mine. You could always go to hellfrauds and get some from there...

Being able to reply in information topics has the advantage of people posting extra bits of useful info, but on the other hand you'll usually have to read through some useless posts or wrong information. It's swings and roundabouts.
