Here's a little list I did a while ago of some of the parts available on the net: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....&article=30 It's not great but it gives you some idea of prices. Starlet parts can range from very cheap to very expensive depending on what sort of quality you want and wether you prefer to buy brand new or don't mind shopping around for 2nd hand parts.

I know how you feel mate I had my old Starlet wrote off by some old numpty a few months ago, similar sort of situation I was on a main road they pulled out of a side road without properly looking and tried to say I was speeding (I couldn't have been, I'd just gone past a speed camera), but I ended up quite lucky, kept all my mods, got over £1100 back from it and it was only a Sportif. Don't waste any time getting onto the insurance although I'm sure you already have. Get everything done a.s.a.p and make sure you can easily prove that they were in the wrong. My insurance took about a

If you can't get them to work mate you'll have to do it the old fashioned way and stick your arm out the window.

Nah not yet the weathers crap lol. I just hate having a dirty car. -
The car's outside the house now and I can't drive it yet. I'm up for anything.
-
They wanted £6k lol

Tried Adrian Flux the other day, at first they said £1700 which I thought was ok considering alot of people say they're really good, but then the phone went dead and when I called them back saying I'd just spoke to someone bla bla bla... they denied it all so I reckon someone made a cock up lol.
-
Ah right, I'm well pissed off with it because I thought I was sorted when I'd looked on the comparison websites. Really fucks me off when things are looking good then you get knocked down again. And some of these insurance call centre people are complete idiots. One of them asked me what my last name was and I didn't quite hear them so I said "could you repeat that please". And they thought I'd said my last name was Please! Morons!

It's a 1991 UK VTEC.

Oh I forgot to mention I'm only 18 with 1 years NCB. I know most people will think "dream on" or whatever but I did actually get a fair few quotes for a Starlet GT around £2k. I really can't understand why the CRX is more expensive. Maybe the insurance companies don't realise what a Starlet GT/Glanza is lol.

haha that first one has got some proper blowjob lips on her

Right I've been looking for insurance all evening, I thought I was sorted because last week I'd been on some comparison websites and got some reasonable prices £1000-£1100 third party only which were reasonable. But I phone them up and they say they can't insure me? Fucking waste of time, why bother putting it on the fucking website if it's not real! The cheapest "non bullshit" quote has been over 3 grand which is a fucking joke! Some companies say they wont insure me because of the performance of the car. Yet another crock of shit, I could get quotes for a Starlet GT, whi

Bear in mind you'll have to run it through a few tanks and give the ECU time to adjust. Obviously if you already have half a tank of regular unleaded in there and then fill up with super unleaded it's not going to be 100% so let it run as low as you dare and then fill up with super a few times.

Speak to Tim @ TB Developments for pretty much everything you need to know: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showuser=2862 beaten to it lol
-
It's a load of bollocks, there was a topic about it not long ago. The norm is to run Glanza's/GT's on super unleaded because they're imports and the japs use higher octane fuel. People who say things like they get more power in their UK spec EP91 N/A's from using Shell V power for example are talking a load of crap.
-
When ragging it in the N/A I always changed near the redline. Although the peak power is around 5.5k the peak torque was somewhere around 4k which is where the revs land (right at the start of the powerband) when you change near the redline. I found with the N/A that it needed to be driven hard to get anything out of it, you lads with turbos probably don't need to.

If you want better handling get uprated shocks aswell. Infact I'm selling mine if you're interested: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....mp;#entry310867 With lowered springs on standard shocks you aren't doing the shocks any favours. However a small drop like 25mm on the Starlet SR's would be fine.

I'm picking up a CRX VTEC on saturday.
