    My 2 Weekend Toys

    Can't see the pics.
  2. That's what I'll be doing. Diggers are great fun.
  3. It's easier to just drop it down a gear to be honest it's not as if there's really any lag on a CT9. And I definately wouldn't want to use it on a track, would heat the brakes up and encourage brake fade. As for launching, traffic lights make good practise.
  4. I doubt they'd be any use to nicwan as he's already using a Microtech ECU and I'm pretty sure the standard injectors are more than adequate for his current setup.
  5. I can't really compare it to other cars because it's the only car I've driven properly but the EP feels VERY predictable which makes it easy to drive "quickly".
  6. That's why I'd suggest ITB's. In a KP47 race car from the 70's Toyota were getting just under 180bhp from a 1.3, at 9.5k rpm. I'm not saying just whack some ITB's on and turn the rev limit up because obviously that car was in full race trim and was probably running high compression on high octane fuel and of course being a race car it didn't need to follow any emissions/noise regulations. But as far as I can see there isn't a whole lot more you can do aside from ITBs/higher compression/higher rev limit. You could also try a lightweight flywheel and pulleys.
  7. That's quite impressive, I've always been interested in tuning the 4EFE but it's just not cost effective when you can spend the same amount on a turbo engine and get alot more power for the money. I see you've raised the rev limit there, I think raising it some more and fitting some ITBs is probably the next step?
  8. tell him he needs to learn to drive lol
  9. Don't talk bollocks mate, it's not all about peak power figures. On the topic: If he wants to be different then that's fine and yes it would unique and all the rest of it but come on, it's not the greatest of ideas.
  10. It says there's a TRD supercharger kit available. That hints at the engine being able to withstand a small amount of boost. Have you considered a small turbo? Obviously it's going to be expensive but for "power vs money" turbocharging usually comes out on top. - I just did a quick search on google and there are bolt on turbo kits available.
  11. Also, isn't wastegate chatter when you are hovering around the point of full boost, and then you get "wastegate chatter" as the wastegate is quickly opening and closing on/off? Or something like that anyway.
  12. Obviously you aren't going to but I'd give you £1500 for it if you took out all that audio shite out the boot. ;)
  13. ;) get out! Why would you want a B16?
  14. I got quoted for £2k and I'm 18 with 1 yrs ncb.
  15. Only misfiring at low revs? Who gives a fuck about low revs, just rag it everywhere! lol jokes Have you checked the spark plugs or anything like that? And that about needing a cold air feed is total bullshit...
  16. I think I saw this on pistonheads? If it's the same one I saw it had a JAM ECU and LSD?
  17. Yes or if you're unfortunate like me some old prick will write it off.
  18. Keep the SR for a year or two. Put most of your money into handling mods. Then when you get a GT/Glanza, you can swap over the majority of the parts.
  19. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer Basically he means use standard parts. To be honest though, I got bored of the lack of power after less than a year so you might want to do something about it lol.
  20. That he's taking his car off the road over winter to have some work done to it. He just added a bit of a story to it but some people fail to see through the humour or just don't find it funny. doh... beat me to it
  21. Just found a better pic: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o241/sa...0209_151601.jpg I think it looks quite nice but then again I look at a GT with some white 5/6 spokes and they look much nicer than the BBS. So I'm unsure.
