http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index...._item&id=63 Been looking at these and just wanted some info on them, searched for reviews on google but want some answers from Starlet owners really. Yellow Stuff Pads What is the braking like; - when cold? - moderately warmed up? - after hard use? I have read that they get better as they warm up but how do they compare to OEM brakes in the cold? They say they're ok for track use, has anyone had any fade problems with them? What's the brake dust like? Worse/better/the same as OEM? I've tried to compare them to Red stuff but alot of people say avoid red stuff? Grooved & Dimpled discs After reading bad things about 3G I assume EBC are better? Do the grooved & dimpled discs give much improvement over OEM? (For both road & track use?) Has anyone had any problems with them? Are they worth the money? I can't see OEM discs being good enoough for fast road/light track use myself. Braided brake lines Do they really make a big difference? Are they worth the money? Basically what I'm asking is it worth buying a package like this or am I better off buying different parts seperately. (On the same budget or less).
That's fucking gorgeous mate bet it's a right head turner lol. If you haven't already, speak to this guy http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showuser=2862 He specialises in MR2's, here's his website: http://www.tbdevelopments.com/
That kit is pretty much exactly what I had except I did mine myself, Apiro filter, aluminium pipe and a reducer. It worked well, and made a fucking great noise.
Nice Glanza and nice spec list too. How are you finding the EBC discs/yellowstuff pads? I've been looking at them myself, are they worth the money? Also if you're buying the WEPR kit I assume your manifold/decat will be for sale?
Can I ask where exactly you bought it from mate and what it sounds like? Not too loud I hope? doh just noticed you said camskill What's the sound like?
That turbo does look tiny though... I dread to think of the pathetic power output of this thing. Even the 1.7 turbo found in the 440 only makes about 120bhp. Just noticed it's going to be RWD aswell.
Was just about to post up about Apiro filters but you got there first lol. I have one, can't fault it really. At the end of the day an air filter is an air filter, but you have to take into account how much air it can flow (how restrictive it is) and how much shit it lets through. I know this is old and most people have seen it many times but it's worth a look: http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ Surprisingly even the more expensive and rather common air filters like the Blitz and HKS actually have pretty crap filtration.
I agree gaz. You pay for your driving license, a car, road tax, MOT, fuel, a computer, electricity, the internet, and THEN people want to charge you to use a fucking website?
Mesh... that's a proper Cal job that is lol. Jokes aside, what's happening with it now then obviously you've just lost a chunk of money from the fucked hybrid. Is it going back to CT9 or will you be replacing it with another hybrid?
That bumper/grille/lights combo is fucking immense! Numberplates ruin the front ends of these cars in my opinion, GT's look so lush without numberplates. It's just like there's no where to put it that looks good once you have a FMIC.
If you go onto the news blog thing that funny picture is on there too if you scroll down to the bit about the BHP table. Hacked by someone who doesn't like Starlets having a better power to weight ratio than their car?
