Agreed, get rid of that shopping list, put a standard spoiler on there, some different wheels and sort out that front end (there's so much shit going on there I don't even know where to start), job done.

And yeah it's a killer to think how much I could have done to the car in the time I've had if I would have been in full time work... I'm gonna be getting some new brake pads soon does anyone know where I can get them from? I can't afford any expensive ones but at the same time don't want to skimp on cheapy shit when it's something as important as brakes.
-
Nah feeling bored, fucking can't even afford petrol!
-
cheers lads I would get clear side repeaters and remove the Sportif sticker and bump strips, but I'm too lazy to remove the stickers/bumpstrips and too poor to afford side repeaters.
-
Hated them since I first heard of them, what the fuck is up with a tv program about someones life, haven't people got their own fucking lives to worry about instead of watching someone elses. Fuck off.

Couple of shit pics...

It's just a universal filter with a bit of pipe... I have a similar thing on my N/A but I bought the pipe and filter seperate.

So for a very basic upgrade if I was to just put new OEM pads on and a BMCS and maybe braided lines would I see a big improvement over the old worn pads I've got now? And of course changing the brake fluid as the stuff that's in there now has probably been there for years... I have been reading up on EBC pads though and the Yellowstuff ones seem really good, but I just don't have the money for them really. Are BMCS really that good? Stupidly high cost for a simple piece of metal!

Nice GT, the Fiesta looks good too, shame most Ford engines are underpowered pieces of scrap. -
The brake pads/shoes need replacing but since I have changed the suspension it's become very clear that the standard brakes are definately not up to the task of slowing down the car quickly enough. So I want to do something about upgrading the brakes but I do not have much money to spend. (So no expensive big discs on the front or no rear axle with disc conversions for me :harhar: ) I'm going to just replace the rears with standard parts but I definately want some uprated pads on the front. Which pads do people recommend for "fast road use"? EBC Yellow/Green stuff? Mintex? I need something

Still haven't had the chance to take any pics. :harhar: It's fucking fun to drive now though, even if it is a bit slidey in the wet!

£300 for the lot from Idrees, 2nd hand, unknown milage. There is a bit of bounciness but I like it. It's made driving a lot more fun, get the tyres screeching round every island lol.

Also I might do a little guide on how to fit suspension if anyone wants to know how? I did it with basic tools. It's a relatively easy job but it's just the awkward locations of some of the bolts that makes it hard.
-
I have an update at last... I finally fitted the suspension, due to one of the standard rear shocks leaking and one of the front ones just being shit. And after all the umming and ahhing about do you need an adjustable panhard rod etc... I'd say yes you do because there is a noticable difference on the rear wheels. It's nothing major but it's definately there so I will be getting one in the future. Took it for a quick spin, huge improvement, and it looks so much better. (I'll get some pics soon). I'm going to give it a proper drive later to see what it's really like. ;)

what the fuck are you on ;)

Well it comes with 13" steelies...

I'd rather have the money a VXR is worth and spend it on a Starlet.

If you're talking about this months I think it was tucka? It's a JAM lip.
-
What exhaust manifold do you use? Have you got any pics?

That's all good if you actually have a good car with a bit of poke. But look at all the money this fool has spent on his fake Evo, when he could of just saved the money, saved a little bit more, and bought the REAL thing instead of wasting money on other things. It's just as bad as someone spending thousands on a 1.2 Corsa...a total waste (in my opinion).

Tuning the N/A for more power with a larger powerband
ste91 replied to ste91's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
I have since decided to wait a bit and get a GT rather than tuning the 4EFE as it's more power for the money. But I still want to do a proper N/A build in a few years. -
The 1st gen 4EFE is very very similar to the 4EFTE. As far as I am aware it has the same sensors so you will have the same problem. I *think* the 7AFE throttle is 55mm but you'll have to check.

Playstation in an evo? I'd smash it round his face. Why do people even bother WASTING money on SHIT when they could of saved it and spent it on the REAL car!
