  1. Have a search on the forum I saw a post about it a couple of days ago...
  2. The 4EFTE TB will not fit as it has different sensors or something. The 7AFE TB will fit though.
  3. I usually hate tinted back lights but I can't help but imagine this would look proper stealthy if you had the windows tinted and got some black 5-6 spokes aswell.
  4. There's a guide on AU Starlet Club I think. But really it works out cheaper and more effective to just do a 4EFTE swap.
  5. Is that why you drive an automatic Starlet because you've got no energy left to operate a gearstick or clutch?
  6. Surely there's a Corolla forum it's one of the most sold cars in the world or atleast it was at one point. If I had a Corolla I'd be too tempted to get an old 1.6 model and do a 20v swap.
  7. These auto-translate things are quite annoying sometimes...
  8. You got rid of a Glanza for some french tat with flip paint? Welcome to UKSC
  9. Are there any torque settings for any of the nuts/bolts on the suspension? Or is it just a simple unbolt it and screw it back up fairly tight job?
  10. Airbox may be restricting the airflow a bit? On another note I can't see how you'd run lean (or atleast dangerously lean) on an N/A with only Corolla inlet manifold and an air filter, the standard fuelling should easily be able to cope with it.
  11. Someone did do it, it was on the news blog thing a while ago, but they had enlarged or extended the end of it or something.
  12. It uses the 20v head off the 4AGE, and the bottom end off a 7AFE, and then add in the turbo or whatever. 7AGE 20v engines have a fair bit more torque than a normal 4AGE 20v.
  13. There is a difference thought, the first generation 4EFE's had the same manifolds as the 4EFTE, whereas the 2nd gen UK spec 4EFE's got the crappy manifold. I've always wondered why no one uses the Glanza S/Corolla manifolds on the FTE thought, I can't see it being a restriction?
  14. I had a go with a 1.4 Civic tonight, was pretty much even. I do fairly well against VTR's aswell, they slowly start pulling away as you get up to higher speeds. Can't think of anything else worth mentioning really, I also beat a 1.4 mk4 Golf but they're quite heavy. Corolla inlet manifold/air filter are my only engine mods.
  15. 25kg as far as I know. On comparison that's the same as a bag of cement.
  16. I'm crap at explaining things but I'll have a go. An internal wastegate is built into the turbo, whereas an external wastegate is seperate. Here you can see an exhaust manifold designed for an internally gated turbo: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/upload...-1238818504.jpg now compare it to the externally gated version which has an extra pipe, this is where the external wastegate goes: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/upload...-1238819263.jpg The gases are then either plumbed back into the exhaust system or just vented straight out to the atmosphere, hence "screamer pipe". For an i
  17. You don't "need" anything to run one. It's just an alternative to a normal decat/downpipe. It vents the wastegate gases to the atmosphere rather than back into the exhaust system, which can improve airflow and makes a nice sound. However some people say screamer pipes on externally gated turbos sound shitty.
  18. As far as I know the 7AFE throttle body will fit. Not completely sure though.
  19. Previous owner sounds like a bullshitter to me...
  20. Very roughly speaking as an example, a CT9 could boost up to a bar and then it is on it's limits, whereas a hybrid CT9 could reach 1.2 bar for example. 200 has been achieved on a standard CT9 but with alot of effort and strain on the turbo. A hybrid will reach a bit over 200 and do it with much more ease.
  21. While we're on it, how hard is it to fit MR2 seats I know some people have done it before?
