  1. The pic is working for me, maybe imageshack is playing up I dunno, but it was funny as fuck.
  2. what the fuck is going on
  3. I'm always watching car vids on youtube but I don't really ever bother to look at the comments, so many idiots on there it's unbelievable. Like if you search for vids of Supra's or something there's always some idiots argueing if it's a V6 or I6 or something stupid. It's full of kids and "know it alls" that don't really know anything.
  4. 207bhp from a 3.0 lol
  5. I'm possibly going to start doing track days next year so I want to know the score on it, what is required, etc... Basically it's going to be a road/occasional track car on a budget. Next year I'm hoping to have a GT modded to about 180bhp with just the basic bolt ons/plug & play ECU, aswell as some suspension mods and of course brakes. I'm looking into what sort of parts I'd need and the costs involved, and what sort of compromise between road/track use I can get. I've been looking at brakes and it's silly money for a big brake setup so would a grooved disc/yellowstuff pads/braided lines/BMCS combo be good enough for track use? I've also looked at using air duct pipe to feed cool air to the brakes to help cool them down (also seen on TGTT where Jay cut out a piece of plastic behind where the foglights are which let some air flow to the brakes through the fog holes). Is that sufficient or is it going to be a case of atleast getting some ST185 brakes or Levin twin pots? For suspension I'm not going to be able to afford some silly £1k coilovers so I'd probably stick to the uprated shocks/springs that I've got on my N/A seeing as I do alot of road driving aswell. Of course I'd have the other major mods like the rear anti roll bar. Tyres are another important one, I'd possibly get another set of wheels with some R888's or maybe R1R's when they are released, if that fails I can always stick to the T1R's but I'm unsure how they'd cope with track driving although I do make good use of them on the road. From experience of people who do trackdays how long does a decent set of tyres usually last if you're really thrashing it? What about cooling? Is the standard radiator/cooling setup good enough? Would I need to consider getting an oil cooler? (I'm guessing an oil cooler would be very beneficial to the turbo if it's constantly going at full whack). How do 4EFTE's cope with track abuse? I'm not going to be running any silly power on it (would be sub-200 @ 1 bar). I don't want to be looking at any forged rebuilds as I highly doubt I'd be able to afford it. And any other info anyone has on track days would be good to hear, I know it's a long time away yet but I'm getting bored of roads so I'm really looking into track days now. Also does anyone know if you can get insurance or some sort of cover if you're doing them? Because most insurance policies state that they do not cover track use.
  6. Used to do rollerblading but pretty much stopped, would love to get back into it but I just don't have the enthusiasm for it anymore. Most of the things I do these days involve cars.
  7. I hate the phrase "redtop", everytime someone sees a corsa round here it's like "is that a redtop" or some shit like that, when it's a fucking 1.1 or something. I do like some old Vauxhalls (Chevettes are great) but can't stand the redtop bums, especially when you ask them what a C20XE is and they can't answer.
  8. Indeed but I'm talking N/A here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZcxS2pQiM0 It's not even a 20v and still has over 200bhp.
  9. C20XE's are outdated and underpowered. 150bhp from a 2.0? Toyota/Honda get more than that from a 1.6.
  10. I don't know if it's just me or does anyone else thing they should make them "wider" rather than "taller"? I'll get a pic if anyone doesn't understand but if you look at half of the intercoolers they leave gaps either side of them and are partly covered up by the top/bottom parts of the bumper, so why don't they just make them wider, it would fill the bumper much better.
  11. Hmm maybe I worded that a bit wrong. ^^ I'm talking more of the displacement difference between the 4E/5E. I would imagine the 200cc difference affects the way it performs. No one as far as I can see has tried the Pacesetter/OBX manifolds on the 4E, so no one really knows anything. And I don't think people want to risk £250 on something that possibly wont do them any favours.
  12. I think there's more of a demand for us 4E users as there are already a few manifolds made for the 5E whereas it's very very difficult to get an "off the shelf" manifold for the 4E. I doubt many of us would want to pay £350 though as most of us plan to move on to turbo power once it becomes cheap enough on the insurance.
  13. Anyone here?
  14. Might be interested in the Glanza S backbox mate.
  15. I can't actually make my mind up what sort I prefer more lol. It's like the mark 1 bumpers are cool as fuck but I'd still have to have a mk2/3 bumper. :S
  16. hahahaha you forgot the wheelchair with bride seat oh and happy bday!
  17. Oh nice! I don't usually like squarelamp GT's but for some reason that one looks good?
  18. The blue GT is fucking lush!
  19. Go for the TD12 hybrid (TD04 internals/CT housing).
  20. I've always seen fuel cut described as being like "hitting a wall". I hope you've got your fuelling sorted, as a fuel cut defender by itself is bad news.
  21. Neither is hitting the rev limiter which some people seem to shit bricks about. Just don't stay on it for too long...
  22. The way I see it being "bad" is the same as sitting on the rev limiter. Going from full load to nothing to full load to nothing very very quickly can't be good for the engine, but obviously it's better than over-revving/running lean and breaking or melting something.
  23. I can't see him getting much creep on one of those hybrids, they come with ported wastegates and a bigger flap.
  24. Yeah I thought it was hilarious have no idea why but the randomness of it was just funny. I think some people need to calm down, I'm guessing he hit fuel cut for the first time by accident or something...
  25. You're using twice as much as me per week on a TD04 and I've got no turbo. How much boost do you run? If I could afford it, I'd probably use nearly £10 a night on a good dry day. One night not long ago I blew £15 in an hour lol.
