I have a similar setup on my car minus the rear ARB: OEM front strut brace GReddy rear strut brace KYB New SR Special shocks TRD -40mm springs It handles surprisingly well, even though my shocks/springs have unkown milage (2nd hand) they're still good. Any of the springs you mentioned should be fine, unless you can get some TRD springs (should go well with your TRD shocks?)

Well I'm 99% sure I'm going to get a GT, that was the plan in the first place but I'm just getting bored of N/A power and want a quick fix and at a first glance it looks cheaper to buy an engine/gearbox/loom/etc... than it is to buy the whole car but it really doesn't look much cheaper to be honest. That plus the fact I haven't really done much to my N/A I just want more power. Like today I was on a "private road" and had the speedo off the clock but there was just no feeling at all, the feeling of acceleration and hard cornering is where the fun is.
  3. On another note I think the point some people miss with brakes is that you can go *faster* for *longer* because you don't have to brake so early, it's not just a safety feature. Anyway does anyone think it will be worth dropping a 5E block in while I wait for a GT or is it not that much better to be worth the cost/effort? I am seriously bored of 80 or whatever the fuck bhp it is, it's fucking pathetic and even if you have the thrill of going round a corner fast it doesn't have any power on the corner exits.
  4. haha some nice banter in here I think I'm going to stick with the original plan and just get a GT anyway, I would love to do a conversion but my main problem is I don't have a drive or garage or anywhere to work so it would be difficult. For now I'm tempted to do a 5EFE swap but I'm not sure if the power difference will be enough to keep me entertained I might aswell just wait for a GT...

Cheers for the comments lads @ Liam - all I do is give it a wash in any old shampoo then polish it in Mer, bit of window cleaner on the windows to make them nice and shiny, tyre black stuff on the tyre walls and job done. Nothing special really but still comes up nice. I just take my time with it to make sure I do a proper job rather than rushing it. On another note I'm bored shitless of the (lack of) power, I'm looking to get a GT next year but I'm considering a Glanza halfcut and doing a conversion if I can get some money together... I doubt anythings going to happen though.
  6. Well it's either wait and save up and buy a GT or slowly build up the parts for the conversion and then drop the engine in. I'd love a Glanza but for cheapness I'd rather buy a GT.

  11. *I am not parked on the corner of a juntion, it's a garage forecourt* I've just spent nearly 3 and a half hours cleaning and polishing the car so decided to take a few pics, I'm no photographer so they're nothing special but atleast the car looks clean. I don't know what the fuck is going on with these pics imageshack must be playing up?

  13. I suspect it may just be going through the oil breather pipe back into the engine and burning away? I might give the engine a flush to be on the safe side.
  14. Yeah I do thrape it quite alot to be honest but I always let it warm up properly and I've always kept on top of servicing and things like that. It's a good job I check the oil regularly else I don't think I would have noticed it otherwise. So yeah I do rag it, but I don't hit the rev limiter or sit there revving the tits off it or anything like that.

  16. Over the last two weeks or something I noticed my oil was low so I topped it up about a week ago, I checked it again last night and it's gone low again. But I have no idea where it's going, there aren't any leaks and I haven't noticed any smoke and there's no loss of performance or anything like that so I don't have a clue what's going on. Surely I'd notice a loss of performance if it was burning oil? Or I'd see smoke? Anyone got any ideas? My engine has around 82k miles on it and has been well maintained as far as I know.

I read the topic about Idrees being banned, and tucka I agree if it's not fair on the ones who pay for it if others do it for free, but then I've seen other people mention about wanting to be a trader but they get refused, which if you ask me is silly because from my point of view the more traders they have the more money they're getting for the site.
