Why does the 5e suffer from low oil pressure?
Dean @RW-Developments replied to Taggy's topic in Engines
ive had just about every problem imaginable with my 5e build im now on my 2nd engine running 4efte sump with 5e pickup and no washer in the relief valve, i have also ran a 1mm thick washer in the old 5e and shortly after the oil pump failed and spun all 4 ill let you know how i get on with the new setup running stock 5e pistons(new) 5e head with 4efte valve springs thick 5e rods (same as fhe) on td04l, athena 1.9mm head gasket. hoping to run 1.2/1.4 bar ive done my research and there's no real reason why it cant be done?? can i please add my name ill pay for a ticket now -
same boat its because they lacquer the alloy best way is to jack the front up on axel stands (make sure its secure) then put the wheels on the front that need sanding, start the car and put it in either 1st or 2nd gear the then go up the grades in sand paper this will reduce the time just be careful! ive got to do this too
