  3. After Toyota sprint series at woodbridge the next round was only 4 weeks away so checks were made on the car ready to hit Blyton Park. 20/7/2014 traveled up on the Saturday afternoon and got to blyton and met a couple of people one being TimD who bought my brothers Gt which was good to see the car and have a catch up. Shortley after went to our hotel and checked in had a good munch up and had a chilled evening ready for the morning. During the night had some serious rain which floody the car park and flooded a few cars out some being some sprint cars which were staying at the same hotel lucky i was parked on the higher end of the car park. Started the day getting down to a very wet Blyton park at 7am to get the car ready for Scrutineering. Once past i signed on and breifing was done. At this point the track was drying out quite quickley just in time for the 2 siting laps. After these were done the timed runs were started. During the morning 4 runs were done but was not really feeling the track or happy with the driving so while i was on lunch i was thinking were i am Loosing time and were i could improve. After the hours break it was time to start the 5th run and i was lining up and it started to spit and looking like this. So managed to get out to do my run and as i complete the heavens let loose and rained for over an hour and was rained off. No more runs could be done due to lots of sitting water on the track. So the day was over and took 2nd place in the class. After the day the car went home back in the garage for a check over. During the next week i was approached by a good friend of mine who owns a detailing company R and R which I would recommend to anyone. Well he offered to become a sponser for my car and now does the detail work on the car. The next event on the calander was the 9/8/2014 asda charity event which is held at bruntingthorpe which I was invited by the p1 owners club which im a member of to take people out in the car to raise money. There are all types of cars at this event alot of super cars. Each person pays £5 to go out to do 1 lap in the car. I managed to do 24 laps which i was happy with and was not shy with the car only issue was my alternater bolt snaped and killed a belt but thanks to krissy who had a spare bolt and belt i was able to go out on track again that day. Great day out, weather was good and pleased to test the car further and upset a few super cars Hardley any pics of the day but got loads of gopro footage which i will add to this post in a few days. Video to come After coming back from the asda day the car was very dirty. so went straight back to R and R for a wash and stayed there for a week and sitting in the garage next to another mates car/customer time attack subaru legercy Monday came so i was on the phone to toyota to order a new alternator bolt which came next day so fitted that and preped car ready for round 4 of the Toyota sprint series at snetterton on the 100 circuit. Set off early that morning and met a friend who was entering the xclass in his clio and then moved on to meet Vit in his glanza and krissy who desided to give the sprint days a go as i kept pestered him. Got to snetterton at 7:20 and a quick swop over of front wheels and clear the car out and it was time to get Scrutineered and signed on ready for breifing and siting laps. Then shortley after that the timed runs had started which went out a pushed hard straight away and was happy with the progress. On my last run 4th run i had a spin which voided my run. Got in and krissy was out behind me and sadley for him his day ended with him killing his engine. Lunch time it was and time to take a few picturess of the cars etc. Lunch time was over and the runs had started again so lined up ready to go and had a belt quilling so popped the bonnet and checked and it was the alternator belt. So revved the car and noise disappeared so proceeded with my lap and all went well as I came in the pits belt started again. So let her run down and switched it off and jacked her up. Looked at the alternator and saw the bolt I changed still there but noticed the 2x 12mm bolts which holds the alternator bracket on 1 was missing and the other was hanging out and ruined. I had 20minutes before the next run so checked what i had spare with me and Lucky once again i had some spare bolts with me so went on to quickly strip things down and replace with spare bolts and put back together BIG THANKS TO KRISSY AND VIT FOR LENDING A HAND GETTING THIS SORTED. I was a couple minutes late lining up for the 6th run but went out and set my best time yet and completed the rest of my runs setting good times. Once timed runs were finished they allowed us to do some more laps being able to take passangers out which was fun. I then came in and packed the car up ready to go once presentation was done. They read out the results through class order and was pleased i had taken 1st place in my class with the winning time of 1:46.02 run 1 - 1:48.79 run 2 - 1:47.08 run 3 - 1:46.95 run 4- void Run 5 - 1:47.50 Run 6 - 1:46.08 Run 7 - 1:46.02 Run 8 - 1:46.39 And picture of 1st and 2nd place cars with vit taking the hard charger trophy also Some of the pro pics of the day We then hooked krissys car up with a tow rope and our friend with the clio towed him to essex to PEC to work there magic on his engine. After this journey we head home and put the car in the garage. The next day i washed the car and jacked it up removing the front wheels to check over parts but another reason on the way back from snetterton i had a wheel bearing noise so another reason why i desided to strip down while i was at it i removed the alternator and bracket. I decided i would do a refurb on the front end and treat her to some new wheel bearings, ball joints, track rod ends. I also got the bearings pressed out and took these off to the powder coaters and the bolts to the zinc coaters. Pics of the hubs and how the car was left Monday came and i phoned toyota once again and ordered the alternator bracket bolts and also dropped hubs off to powdercoaters. I also dropped my bolts to krissy to try his guy for zinc coating. Couple of days went by and parts were then ready for collection. Also picked up my antilift kit bits which i had not collected a few months ago I had a delivery of parts that day also of new bearings etc ready to be assembled Also ordered a light weight alternator pully from fensport which was the last pully i needed so that arrived next day and didnt hang about to get that fitted and get the bracket fitted and alternator back on. Picture of the track rod end differance between oem toyota to pattern pattern parts When ordering my pully from fensport one of the organizers of toyota sprint series advised me that im being moved up to pro class. Which i had a long discussion about as we are coming to the end of the season and all what ive achived this year could go to waste on winning the class I was in and the overall points. So now im in pro class i thought i would go and treat myself to some toyo r888 gg tyres which i bought a part worn set to try and one extra advantage going in to pro i can run these. And this is how the car sits at the moment. Further updates/ videos to follow

  14. Update For a while I have been trying to source a greddy remote boost switch for the controller and luckily found one in the us which I purchased and got sent over. Saturday 14th June I took my car down to my mates work to do the geo, do a oil change and check over the car ready for tomorrow. Few pictures of the underside of the car where you can see the new exhaust system fitted etc Got home and a gave the car a wash and packed the car up ready. Sunday 15th Very early start at 3am to meet friends to start the travel up to Woodbridge for round 2 of the TSS. On arrival off loaded the car and got ready to get the car sound tested and get the car scrutineerd ALL PASSED fine which I was happy about. Next up was to go and sign on and purchase IOPD licence for 2014 and sticker pack for the rest of 2014 season. Once done the car got stickered up and final checks done ready to go out. Had the drivers briefing and then it was time to go out on the 2.1mile circuit for 2xshow laps of the circuit layout followed by 2x practice laps to get a feel of the circuit. So now the days is spread up with 4 timed laps in the AM, Lunch and 4 timed laps in the PM followed by presentation at the end. Once pitted again I awaited to be called when to start my 1st lap then pitted shortly after this and repeated the process AM Session Lap 1 – 2:36.51 Lap 2 – 2:25.57 Lap 3 – 2:26.07 Lap 4 – 2:24.95 Was time for everyone to have a lunch break which was well needed as I was starving by then managed get a couple more pics before getting ready for the afternoon PM session Lap 5 – 2:30.02 Lap 6 – 2:24.91 Lap 7 – 2:24.62 My final lap came and went out and really pushed my car but unfortunately coming up to forth to last corner I was catching up with the person in front and coming on the final bend he had spun his car and I had to pass him and crossed the finish mark. Got in to the pits and one of the marshals came up and said my lap was void and I would have to go back out and re do my lap which I was gutted I had to do as last lap felt good. So awaited to go back out and had another good crack at it and pushed the car and felt a really solid lap and come in and was happy. Once parked up I packed the car up ready to go home and awaited for the presentation to start. Presentation started and some great times were being set for all the classes. Then they moved on to the B street class which was the class I was in and calling out the winner of the B street class with a time of 2.22.66 James Abbott I did not register first of all but once realised I was over the moon and went up and collect my trophy. Lap 8 – 2.22.66 Went home feeling happy and learnt a lot from the days experience and knowing what I need to improve on and alter with myself and the car. Was a real bonus to coming away with winning something as been a real enjoyable day meeting new people and seeing what these days are about. Looking forward to the next round and start prepping and changing bits on the car
  15. Thanks guys for your input Little update Still undecided on wheels still but will keep both set and use one set for track etc Some better pics of the whole side of the car with both sets of wheels Rays TE37s Wedsports - TC05 Couple of pics of the car on the way to the blue water starlet meet the other Saturday. 31/5/2014 Was booked in with Dean at RW-Developments again to have my exhaust modified as was a little loud and would have difficulties getting on track days so discussed a few options and decided to put a centre box in and also modify section across the rear beam and Vband the front down pipe. Few pics of it being tacked up and welded. The man at work Booked in for a check up on the map on Wednesday to make sure all is ok after modifying exhaust. Big Update after the weekend.
