Hey hey. Any weekday suits me, I work evenings from 5 - 12. Yep 7 days a week lol so weekends are out of the question unless I can get my ass back to Kilkeel for 4pm lmao. Its just my familia needs me so Im one of those workers that are part of the furniture. By all means dont think Im a party pooper because I miss the weekend meets. I want to meet up as often as possible, Im sure Phil is the same. So feel free to make a weekend meet without me, its Ok. I would make them if I could. However I can meet up in the week no sweat during the times above and can stretch to 6pm if needed. We want decent meets, not just a quick hello, few pics and bye, we want something to do too lol And yea Laura Im up for meeting in Downpatrick anytime. Just getting a few mods on her first lol (more? ) Im up for regular meets surely and would love more track meets like Kirky. I was thinking of Bishops Court sometime Laura, are you guys regulars there? They do Qtr Mile and Track Days. You guys and the RWD starlet up for that? Even for the craic and experience? I cant really enjoy myself on the open roads as there are speed limits lol. Plus I want to see what my car can do when its all setup, I recommend Phil to do it to, regulars at Bishops Court and Kirky baby! Just more of a purpose for our cars really... Peace Joz p.s Laura your siggy pic is huuuuge lol, could u trim it down a bit pleases

A weekday would suit me. I wouldnt mind meeting up with Laura co on the way, Im in Kilkeel and could meet you in Downpatrick, a wee convoy maybe lol, I would much prefer that than heading out on my own plus m y sense of direction is terrible lol, it also depends where the meet will be Hopefully Dave (nordonian) can make it, but he's getting his SR back up to scratch first, at least she has a better engine now Luko will be up for this too Im sure. Im getting a few bits sorted too, but Im up for a meet for sure, u just need to book me as Im a busy guy too Joz

Wild is right mate. Another reason for changing my backbox was that the baffles were finally done. You may still get that raspy noise tho, its due to the muffler design (4" can) and also lack of centrebox. Joz

Good choice on the Koni Adjustables Marc. They are an ideal fast road/street setup and have the ability to adjust damping levels. A few people I know have used or are either using the koni setup. Larger and more expensive cars use Konis too. However they are not height adjustable. For the same money you can get coilovers that would allow you all the adjustability you want and arguably better handling than the konis. This is at the tradeoff of some ride comfort, however I would recommend the new version D2s that are much more suited for UK roads as they now have increased dampening levels by 20% and when setup right will be quite passable in terms of comfort and the handling would be much more aggresive and have more potential than any shock/spring setup imo. What you would be getting is very good value for money plus you have all the adjustability which would include pillow ball mounts, adjustable camber, ride height adjustability and as said various levels of dampening to suit you. The only adjustability Konis would have are the dampening levels, nothing else, however they would be less harsh. Im current running Tanabe coilovers in my 5efe converted UKep91. i have to say they are very harsh and not good on bad roads, but once you get out into the open they come into their own. Look at the shocks/springs/coilovers as the base or backbone of your suspension setup mate, a lot of people are misconceived by thinking that the handling gains will be huge just by adding these or just lowering springs. Its your overall setup that counts if you are really after something optimal for your eps handling as it is one of the best areas to exploit. The majority of JDM or used coilovers are made and intended for Japanese roads and tight circuits where the track surface is even and smooth. Also the Konis are not a straight switch for your old shocks, there is a little work needed to fit them to the chassis inserts, I cant remember fully but Sicaln or someone can confirm. It wont be a prob as they will go in but not a straight wax on/wax off affair. You need to get your moneys worth basically Marc Hope this helps coming from a different perspective. Joz

I wouldnt think so Idrees. The drone from a 4" backbox can get pretty bad at times. Think of the standard sound deadening and your not far off from the effect it makes if you added another layer. By all means try if you can get it cheap as you seem pretty determined to keep your old backbox. Good luck Joz

Congrats Keirz! Keep up the good work son! Joz

The only way to quieten down things is add a centrebox mate The majority of 4" backboxes are loud and raspy on the 4efe especially with no centrebox/silencer. They do not promote much torque to be honest. If its looks your after then a smaller one may look out of place a little with the glanza bumper. I say all this mate as Ive just changed my backbox and its made the car a whole lot quieter. It used to be a 4" like yours and was pretty loud, raspy and droney so u cant hear whats being said in the car... Im pretty happy with it and the car to drive is a whole lot smoother, however I speak from experience with my 5efe which has some more torque. The sound is sporty as in the sound from cars that have sports silencers as standard, you can rarely hear them, so its great to hear more engine noise and induction! This theory can however still be used to combat your problem mate Joz

Spoiler looks decent Mike. Really tidies her up at the back. Just need some nice rear lenses now and maybe a rear lip of some sort or rear bumper later on. Hope to see more progress soon mate. Joz

Hey Keirz Check out hardcore ep91's useful site. Has a small article on the catch tank. You gotta find it yourself lol Im not doing all the work for you but its there. If you want proper advice then try and get hold of the man himself. Try u2u him on tgtt. If you read his article you might be able to do it yourself, its not difficult. If you don't know hardcore ep91s site then you aint a starlet fanatic Joz

Don't even think of selling up Idrees lol, all your hard work would have gone to waste mate. Have more patience and you will love her once she's on the road then the real fun begins. Just fix her up as best as possible and she will give you enjoyment for years to come. You will understand once you get driving mate, plus she is a good entry level car to insure and will of course look the tits. Joz

The 4age geo mentioned would be really amazing to have with 160bhp out of the box with potential for more after good mods. One of the ultimate starlet n/a setups. Joz

There was a TRD Final Drive available but from what I know it seems to be rare or discontinued. If you want to know more about final drives, enzo would be your man to talk to about whats what. Wait til he sees this thread as Im positive he had an upgraded or longer final drive in his old ep. Also keep experimenting with the 6 speed ck, is it a worthy modification or upgrade to have for us n/a guys? Joz
